Purpose
The corridors of learning at the business administration department of T John College juxtaposed with the ideal tone and ambience of rich flora and fauna with sprawling green campus, state of the art facilities and infrastructure beckons students from myriad cultures and nations to pursue their careers in value based education through knowledge management. T John College with the highly acclaimed NAAC A grade under its belt has become the favoured choice of aspiring students.
Cornerstone
The jewel in T John’s crown, beyond doubt is the Bachelors of Business Administration course affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by UGC.
It is a three year course divided into six semesters with the option of specialization available to students in the 5th semester.
The trending choices of Marketing, Finance and Human Resources along with shipping, logistics and aviation are made available and they can make scintillating careers out of these.
Pedagogy
The hallmark of this department is the excellent pedagogy that has a balanced curriculum of academics in the form of smart classroom lectures, case studies, guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits and exciting campus placements.
The faculty are best in class with rich talent and experience and have the passion to motivate and shape the lives of enthusiastic pupils and here is a place of light, of liberty and of learning.
Structure and design
The learning programme is so structured and programmed to make it effective, qualitative and productive as we believe in the maxim that effective management education is when the students ask the right questions.
Apart from academics, the students indulge in co- curricular activities and skill development classes that bring out the latent talent and help in building confidence to face the challenging and competitive world of today.
The courses are specially designed to include value added programmes such as communicative English, Personality Development and skill development sessions for facing job interviews, group discussions and written tests.
There are job fairs and campus recruitment drives that ensure 100% placements for the students. Many multinationals and top notch blue chip companies from various sectors have offered lucrative jobs to the undergraduate management students.
Eligibility
A candidate who has passed two years Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission to these programmes.

The objective of the Value Added Program (VAP) is to provide the necessary business inputs to the students to help them face the challenges of the professional world. In addition to providing academic inputs the department encourages students to take up courses to improve their skills.
Department emphasizes on soft skill and personality development and conducts workshops focused on developing grooming, communication & presentation, reasoning & aptitude skills. It also provides a platform for students to exhibit their hidden talents by encouraging co-curricular activities and participation in inter-collegiate competitions.

The Course provides a golden passport for making a career in the Logistics and transportation industry.

EVENTS @ BBA DEPARTMENT
The college arranges a multitude of events spread across the semester to ensure that the students are engaged in different activities apart from their academic learning.
The different events organized by the institution are the perfect platform for the students to learn the important values of teamwork, accountability and leadership skills.
- Induction Programme: Every academic year begins with an induction program for the students and parents. This program gives a platform for interaction between parents and the faculty. The students are also benefitted as they get a clear understanding of the regulations of the college.
- Independence Day Celebration: An important day for every Indian, the college celebrates the spirit of independence through cultural events that uplift the patriotic feelings of every student and faculty alike.
- Sports Day: The sports day celebration brings forward the hidden talents of students and faculty alike. Conducted as a competition between different departments, the sports day brings with it a lot of fun, frolic and healthy competition.
- Ethnic Day: The ethnic day celebration in the college gives the students an opportunity to showcase their culture and the rich heritage of their background. The students come together to present the cultural kaleidoscope through various cultural competitions & programs.
- Fresher’s and Farewell Party: As tradition goes, the students organize a fresher’s party to welcome the new students to the T. John family. A farewell party is also organized to give a send-off to the outgoing students. These events are organized by the students and help to create an everlasting bond that lasts beyond the college years.
- Graduation Day: A culmination of the three years of hard work of every student, this day brings with it the joys of moving forward in life and the sadness of leaving behind the ones who have become a part of your journey.
- College Fest: The annual college festival, ‘BLAZE’ is the perfect opportunity for our students to showcase their teamwork and leadership skills. The event organized completely by students, is an amalgamation of cultural and sports events, spread across two days.
- Industrial Visit: Planned visits to relevant industries in every semester to help students understand the practical aspects of their subjects.
- Guest Lecture: Guest lectures and workshops with eminent personalities from the industry are conducted throughout the semester to help the students understand the requirements of the industry.
- Student Projects & Initiatives: The students are given the opportunities and the guidance to conduct small scale projects and initiatives to help them understand the practical application of the subjects that they are learning.
