Guest Lecture for 2nd semester BBA students on Quality Control

The importance of quality in today’s businesses cannot be over emphasized and this is the vital parameter that makes an enterprise to stand out. Every organization, big or small tends to reduce the variability and deviations from the set standards and goes that extra mile to maintain zero defect in their products and services.

In this context, the students of BBA 2nd semester got a comprehensive idea on the meaning of quality, its application and control through a guest lecture that was organized by the Department of Business Administration today at 9:30 AM. The one hour lecture presented by Mr. Tanmoy Mukhopadyay, a quality engineer, a six sigma trainer and an associate member with the Bureau of Indian Standards provided insights into an overall perspective on quality aspects with ample examples from the manufacturing industry. The students had a grasp on the subject and interacted well with their responses and queries.

The session was enriching and immensely rewarding as the topic was aligned to the syllabus and curriculum in the subject “Production and Operations Management”.
