QCFI- Industry Institute Interaction


On August 18th 2017, Department of Computer Science T. John Institute of Technology has organized guest lecture on “Industry-Institute Interaction” with QCFI –Quality Circle Forum of India. The lecture highlighted on current requirements and expectations of industry, by Mr. Suresh G, President QCFI and Mr. Kishen Vice President QCFI. They briefed students on current scenario as in the present engineering education, the knowledge is imparted in order to make the student industry ready. Even most of the industries are looking for students who are expertised to work in an Industry environment. Industry and academic institutions are correlated to each other for the development and advancement of technologies to meet the needs of the society. He also discussed about the latest tools/technology required on which students need to be updated.

This was followed by another guest lecture on Space Technology by Mr. C.D. Prasad Scientist, ISRO. He discussed the challenges, India is facing towards Space Technology and he also gave his experiential insights about how the Space technology has been revolutionized with launch of umpteen numbers of low cost satellites, gathering procedure and their significance. It was an enlightening session as he shared real life experiences and told the students about the importance of a scientist’s lifetime roles in this technology

The session was conducted for final year and pre final year students of T John Institute of Technology.
