The T. John College, under the leadership of the T. John Group of Institutions, celebrated its 28th Graduation Ceremony on 9th September 2021 for the 2017 (BHM) and 2018 Batch of students. The graduation ceremony was conducted at 11:00 am in the T. John Group Institutions auditorium, Bannerghatta Road Campus. 


The event was presided by Dr. Thomas P John, Chairman of T John Group of Institutions, Dr. Meera Venkat, Chief Guest Chairperson IICCI, Karnataka; President & CEO Raise Global, India. Sister Rose Mary Balappa, Principal of T. John College, and Dr. Karthikeyan C, Principal of T. John Institute of Management and Science & Director of TJC IQAC.


The dignitaries have ushered in the auditorium on the rhythm of the College Anthem. The ceremony began with the Invocation Song sung by 4th semester PG Students Neena, MBA, and Amal, M.Com and Dr. Felcy Judith guided the dignitaries to “The Lighting of the Lamp ceremony.”


The Graduation ceremony began with Sister Rose Mary Balappa’s (Principal TJC) welcome speech for the dignitaries, T. John Group of Institute Principals, TJC vice principal, TJC IQAC Director, the Heads of the departments, faculties, and the Graduating students. She went on to address the students about their roles and responsibilities towards themselves and their nation. In her note-worthy welcome address, her message is to the young graduates to have faith in themselves and emerge as nation builders especially, as the country is wheeling under the impact of the Pandemic economically. She motivated the students to always give their 100% in whatever they do in life. 


Thomas P John, Chairman T John Group of Institutions delivered the presidential address. He congratulated the Graduating students and asked them to dream big because a person without a dream is like a ship without radar. Chairman stressed the importance of Happiness to students. He is the founder of the Happiness Department for the T. John Group of Institutions. His main intention is to improve and nurture the happiness index on the campus, and to help everyone live a happy and satisfying life.


Dr. Meera Venkat, the Chief Guest, in her Graduation Address, conveyed being happy to be present for this special occasion of the Graduation Ceremony for the Batch of 2021. She spoke about the importance of responsibilities a person faces when one steps into the outside world, away from his secure environment. Dr. Meera Venkat motivated the students to find their path and reach their destination with hard work and integrity.


Post the Graduation address, Dr. Meera Venkat was honored by the Chairman, Dr. Thomas P John. 


T. John College, the departmental annual report was delivered by Sister Rose Mary Balappa. The annual report was about the achievements of sic Under Graduate Departments and three Post Graduate Departments of T. John College, faculties, and students for 2020-2021.


The Graduation Ceremony was declared open by Sister Rose Mary Balappa. In this ceremony, nearly 400 plus students from BHM, BBA, BCOM, BA, BCA, FAD from Undergraduate and MBA, MCOM, MCA from Post Graduate received their Graduating certificates.


The Best Out-Going Students from all Departments were honored with medals and certificates.


Sister Rose Mary Balappa, Principal TJC, administered the Institutional Oath to the graduates. The ceremony ended with the Vote of Thanks presented by the Vice Principal of TJC, Dr. Lakshmi S R, and HOD of the Department of Management Studies.


Sr. Rose Mary Balappa announced the closing of the Graduation ceremony. In the end, everyone paid their respect to our nation by singing the National Anthem followed by delicious lunch prepared by faculty and students of the Department of Hotel Management.
