Students of first year Pharm.D and 2nd semester B.Pharm visited the ‘NIMHANS SCIENCE DAY’ at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences on 13th February 2020. At the event students visited various stalls that showcased technologies used in the healthcare industry. Key themes of the event were the brain, neuro infections, cancer, sleep and cognition. Students got valuable exposure to radiosurgery and other non-invasive medical procedures and even attempted a mock surgery on a brain specimen using an operating microscope. They also learnt techniques to overcome stress and sleep disorders. Students enjoyed their visit and had lots of fun participating in several educational games and quiz programmes.
