National Conference on “Inculcating the mindset change towards quality enhancement – key performance index for reliability and acceptability”

The BBA department organized a one day national conference on the 31st of October, 2018 in the CTL Seminar hall. The title theme of the conference was “Inculcating the mindset change towards quality enhancement –key performance index for reliability and acceptability” and was the brainchild of Professors Sunita Ramaswamy and Sandhya Parnandy.

This event brought together experts from industry, academicians, research scholars and students across India who had lot of takeaways from this mega event. The inauguration ceremony saw the Chairman of T john group of Institutions, Dr. Thomas P John, Principal, T John College, Dr. Shikha Tiwari and the plenary speakers sharing the dais. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. Kiran Vazirani, Head, BBA department

The students had an insightful session in the Keynote address from Mr. S Sujit Nayak, National Head, Sales of Two wheeler Verticals, Bosch India who stressed on the need for network and collaboration with people to improve on the quality of human capital. The panel discussion on “The role of AI and Data Analytics” chaired by six high profile speakers drawn from varied spectrums gave the audience a chunk of information on different perspectives and the meaningful dialogue had them on a very interactive note. The speakers were Ar. Ms. Roopa Roy of Sthapati Kalp, Ms. Chinnmaye Praveen of Vistara, Mr. Sabyasachi Chatterjee, Consultant with IBM, Mr. G Jose, DA and Supply chain specialist with Genpact, Mr. Ullhas, a behavioural trainer and six sigma expert and Mr. Sourav Kumar, co founder, Buzy Developers.

Paper presentations on multiple tracks were held post a sumptuous lunch which saw the likes of the best in the field showcasing their expertise. The valedictory function was chaired by the Principal who declared the best paper award to Ms. Ramya Manjunath and Dr. Pratima on their research on “Self Learning”, Prof. Arun Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.

This mega event gave the student fraternity the real life experiences in industry and what the expectations are in today’s contemporary era of technology with quality as the cornerstone.

The contributors to the event were The Federal Bank Ltd, MJ Enterprises and Elegance Enterprises. The Hindu newspaper group supported the conference from the outside.
