Congratulations to Ms.Jane Vijetha Coutinho, student of V semester B.Com, T John Institute of Management & Science for securing the Bronze Medal in Long Jump in the 55th inter collegiate athletic meet 2019-20 conducted by Bangalore University.

TJCP EYE CAMP: 06-11-2019

A Free Eye Screening Camp was conducted by T John College of Pharmacy in association with Narayana Nethralaya, Bommasandra, on 6th November 2019 in the college premises. The team from Narayana Nethralaya hospital consisted of Dr. Devaraj, Dr. Zulekha and several technicians. Dr. Zulekha gave an informative awareness speech on eye donation to the participants of the event. General public, staff and students of T.John Group of Institutions visited the camp and availed the facility. A total of 190 members underwent eye examination. It included power testing and detailed examination by an ophthalmologist. More than sixty participants took a pledge to donate their eyes during the event. The camp was a huge success due to the active involvement of the public, teaching & non-teaching staff as well as Pharm.D students of T. John College of Pharmacy. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Blessy Jacob, faculty member TJCP.

Guest Lecture Conducted on “Personal Branding & Public Speaking”: 05-11-2019

T. John Institute of Management & Science organized a Guest Lecture on 5th November, 2019 between 11:00am -01:00pm at Room No: 303 on “Personal Branding & Public Speaking” for the III MBA & I MBA students. The session was conducted by Ms. Vidya Nair, Master of Ceremonies, Freelancer.

Campus Drive - Jaro Education: 04-11-2019

T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) had successfully organized a campus drive on 04 November 2019 at our campus. The company which was visited is Jaro Education, an ed-tech Company. The campus drive was for MBA, BBA and B.Com students for the position of Trainee-Career Development. The one day drive witnessed the participants from TIMS. Totally 64 students participated in the drive.

Industrial Visit to Sakra World Hospital: 31-10-2019

Students of fifth and second year Pharm.D course visited the Sakra World Hospital, Marathahalli on 31st October 2019. Students visited the different departments of the hospital and gained knowledge about the working and available facilities in the hospital. Highlight of the visit was attending an illuminating lecture on the topic ‘Role and responsibilities of clinical pharmacology department’ by Dr.Chandha Kulkarni, Head of Clinical Pharmacology Department, Sakra World Hospital. The students were accompanied by Ms. Annmary Pious, Faculty member, TJCP.

Guest lecture on “Innovation and Trends in the Field of Chromatography : 21-10-2019

A guest lecture on “Innovation and Trends in the Field of Chromatography and its Application in Pharmaceuticals” was conducted at T John college of Pharmacy by Mr. Manu Grover, Country Business Development Manager, Agilent Technologies, Bangalore, on 21st October 2019. The talk covered the importance of chromatography, its applications in pharmaceuticals and various modern and hyphenated techniques for compound separation and identification. Students of M.Pharm, B.Pharm and Pharm.D attended the guest talk. The guest talk was co-ordinated by Dr. Noopur Srivastava, Faculty member TJCP.

Guest Talk on “New approaches in Disease Treatment and Patient Care”: 21-10-2019

On 21st October 2019, a guest lecture on the topic “New approaches in Disease Treatment and Patient Care” was conducted at T John college of Pharmacy by Mr. Vikrant Gill, Associate Director, Market research-commercial services, Eli Lilly Services India Private Limited, Bangalore. The talk covered the new approaches and various new methods and development techniques in disease treatment and patient care. Students of Pharm. D and Final year B. Pharm gained valuable knowledge from the guest lecture. The guest talk was co-ordinated by Dr. Noopur Srivastava, Faculty member TJCP.

Industrial Visit to Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited: 17-10-2019

T. John College of Pharmacy arranged an Industrial Visit to Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited, Bangalore on 17th October 2019 for the M.Pharm and D.Pharm students. The students were introduced to the various stages in the production, raw material processing, mixing and grinding using ball mills, quality control, formulation, labeling and packaging of chocolate manufacturing. They also visited the Quality Assurance Laboratory. They were also briefed about FSSAI, 5S and ISO Certification. The visit was an enriching experience to the students. The visit arranged by Mrs. Lata Khani Bisht of TJCP, Bangalore.

Industrial Visit: Stock Market Institute: 16-10-2019

T. John Institute of Management and Science organized an Industrial Visit for PG students to Stock Market Institute (SMI) on 16th of October 2019. Initially representative from SMI gave a brief introduction about the Stock market to the students. They theoretically explained the working of the Stock Market. They shared the knowledge, experience and the real time working scenario. Later, one activity was organized by them to make students understand the real working of stock markets. Students participated with great enthusiasm and also cleared their doubts from the representative. The Industrial visit was very informative and effective as it gave a very good exposure to the students. This visit motivated the students and inspired in building careers in stock exchange.

Happiness Fun Week: 14-10-2019

T. John Group of Institution became the trendsetter with the introduction of a department wholly dedicated to happiness initiated by Dr. Thomas.P.John, Chairman, TJGI. Happiness Department of T. John College, conducted Fun Week on 14th to 18th October 2019, where students were given different themes such as Day 1- Twinning, Day 2 – Flash back, Day 3 – The Villain, Day 4 – Halloween, Day 5 – Vote your Hero. Students actively participated and dressed up according to the theme. The campus was fun filled with joy and students cherished and will be cherishing the moments as a part of their college life.
