Industrail Visit to Micro Labs Ltd.: 25-11-2019

M. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy visited Micro Labs Ltd., Bangalore, on 25th November 2019. The visit began with an introduction about the plant by the Plant Head Mr. GD Chandrappa (GM-Production) and their focus on continuous development of new formulations in various dosage forms including solid dosage forms, liquid dosage forms, sterile preparations, injectables, creams and ointments. The Industrial visit was highly informative and the students gained adequate practical knowledge in the areas of formulation of tablets, packaging, as well as layout designing of a pharmaceutical industry. Students were accompanied by Mr. Anupam Kanti Bag, faculty member of T.John College of Pharmacy.


CXO Talks: 23-11-2019

T. John Institute of Management & Science organized a CXO Talks on 23rd November, 2019 between 11:00am -01:00pm at Conference room in HR department for the MBA students. The session was conducted by Ms.Arshinder Jeet kaur, Branch Manager, SBI, Bangalore.


Guest Talk on "Regulatory guidelines in solid dosage form”: 23-11-2019

T. John College of Pharmacy organized a Guest Talk on "Regulatory guidelines in solid dosage form” on 23th November 2019. M.Pharm, B.Pharm, and D.Pharm students attended the guest talk. Mr. V.Kannan, Head-Quality learning & Operational Excellence, Biocon limited. Bangalore delivered the talk. The talk helped the students to understand ICH and GXP guidelines, as well as current knowledge needed for students with an industrial perspective. An interactive discussion with M.Pharm students on various conceptual developments in the pharmaceutical industry was the highlight of the day. The program was coordinated by Mrs. Blessy Jacob, faculty member TJCP.


Industrial visit to Institute of animal health and Veterinary Biologicals at Hebbal : 22-11-2019

An Industrial visit to Institute of animal health and Veterinary Biologicals at Hebbal was organized by T. John College of Pharmacy for II Pharm D students on 22nd November 2019. The visit was an eye opener for the students in the field of animal vaccines, processing vaccines and by products. Scope and opportunities in the vaccine industry were also highlighted. The Industrial visit was highly informative and the students gained knowledge in the area of vaccines and their preparations. The students were accompanied by Mr. Alin Bose, TJCP.


Industrial Visit to Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt. Ltd: 18-11-2019

First semester B.Pharm students visited Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt. Ltd, on 18th November 2019. The visit started with R & D section of the plant where quality control tests are performed. The students gained knowledge about various tests to analyze the percentage of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, preservatives and microbial content of raw materials and finished products. It was followed by visit to cold storage area, manufacturing, packaging and coding sections. Students then had the opportunity to savor a fresh cup of delicious vanilla flavor ice cream. The visit was coordinated by Mrs. Blessy Jacob, faculty member TJCP.


Industrail Visit to National Institute of Malaria Research : 18-11-2019

Students of I Pharm D, III Pharm D and IV pharm D visited National Institute of Malaria Research NIMR, Bangalore on 18th November 2019. National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as Malaria Research Centre and it is one of the institutions under the Indian Council of Medical Research. The visit began with an introduction about the NIMR by Dr. Shreehari. Students learnt about the short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. Students gained valuable knowledge on molecular markers for important malaria vectors, parasites, and cytotaxonomic studies identifying major vectors as species complexes. Students also learnt about monitoring of insecticide resistance. Students visited the different departments at the institute and had a good experience. The industrial visit was coordinated by Mrs. Bhawna Mishra, Faculty member,TJCP.


Indutrial Visit to Dairy Classic Ice Creams (P) Ltd: 13-11-2019

Final year B. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy visited the Dairy Classic Ice Creams (P) Ltd, Kanakapura, on 13th November 2019. It was an enriching experience for students as they visited various manufacturing sections like Raw material procuring, filling, storage and labeling sections. They also visited the storage area maintained at -250C and the analytical laboratory of the facility. The visit was conducted by Mrs. Lata Khani Bisht, faculty member TJCP.


TIMS Swachh Bharat Abhiyan : 11-11-2019

"NSS Cell of T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) in association with BBMP 194 Ward and Trendy Warriors had organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 16 November 2019 in Weavers Colony, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. It was a cleanliness drive to bring the awareness of Swachhta in the environment where we live and work. All the students of B.Com, BBA and MBA participated in the event and also the program was graced by Bangalore South MLA M Krishnappa, BBMP 194 Corporator Lalitha Narayan, Dr. Shailesh G, Principal, TIMS, Mr. Karthik P, Assistant Professor & NSS Coordinator, teaching fraternity of TIMS, Health officers, BESCOM and BWSSB officers"


Industrial Visit to UNIBIC Foods India Pvt. Ltd: 11-11-2019

Pharm.D students of T.John College of Pharmacy visited UNIBIC Foods India Pvt. Ltd, on 11th November 2019. This company comes under FMCG sector and is certified by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and the British Retail Consortium (BRC). It produces cookies. Students visited the production site and had an overview of the entire production process starting from the raw material stage to the final packaging. The industrial visit was organized by Mrs. Blessy Jacob, faculty member TJCP.


Campus Drive - Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd.: 08-11-2019

"T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) had successfully organized a campus drive on 08 November 2019 at our campus. The company which was visited is Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd. The campus drive was for MBA students for the position of Officer-Sales. The one day drive witnessed the participants from TIMS. Totally 33 students participated in the drive. The campus drive started with welcoming Mr. Thilak K Rao, Assistant Vice-President, Business HR and Mr. Balaji, Cluster Sales Manager, Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd. Mr. Thilak started the session by briefing about the company and interaction with the students. The process of interview and all the details was shared to students. The interview process started with personal interview with the HR. The company shortlisted 12 candidates and they will go through face to face interview in the Bangalore branch”
