Students of first year Pharm.D and 2nd semester B.Pharm visited the ‘NIMHANS SCIENCE DAY’ at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences on 13th February 2020. At the event students visited various stalls that showcased technologies used in the healthcare industry. Key themes of the event were the brain, neuro infections, cancer, sleep and cognition. Students got valuable exposure to radiosurgery and other non-invasive medical procedures and even attempted a mock surgery on a brain specimen using an operating microscope. They also learnt techniques to overcome stress and sleep disorders. Students enjoyed their visit and had lots of fun participating in several educational games and quiz programmes. Mrs.Blessy Jacob and Mr.Ananda. V, faculty of TJCP accompanied the students.

Campus Recruitment Drive - Life Pharmacy: 10-02-2020

T. John College of Pharmacy conducted an international campus Recruitment drive on 10th February 2020 by the Life Pharmacy, Dubai.The company is involved in the pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals market. More than 130 students from M. Pharm, B, Pharm, Pharm.D and D. Pharm participated in the recruitment drive. Mr. Tajudeen and his team members from Life Pharmacy conducted several rounds of group discussions and one to one technical interviews etc with the students. The students also had an opportunity to understand the regulations of pharmacy business across the globe during a one hour presentation conducted by the Life Pharmacy team members. Team members of the Life Pharmacy were impressed by the good technical and communication skills as well as knowledge level of the TJCP students.


Students of Pharm.D and D.Pharm visited the Indian Institute of Horticulture Research on 7th February, 2020. They were exposed to the latest developments in the instrumentation and cultivation of horticulture plants at the National Level Horticulture Exhibition organised by the Institute at its premises. Students had the opportunity to interact with representatives of several companies at the event and gained valuable knowledge. It was an enriching experience for the students.

Ltd. which is located in Harohalli industrial area, Kanakapura main road on 03rd January 2020.This factory was well equipped with sophisticated and advanced technology which is used for manufacturing process of ice creams.

Campus Drive - NewAgeSys Solutions: 12-12-2019

"T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) had successfully organized a campus drive on 12 December 2019 at our campus. The company which was visited is NewAgeSys Solutions Pvt Ltd. The campus drive was for MBA students for the position of Resource Specialist. The campus drive started with welcoming Mr Jingle Raphael, General Manager (Placements and Recruitment), Mr Anand Murali, HR Associate, New AgeSys Solutions Pvt Ltd and Dr Shailesh G, Principal of TIMS.

ESPERANZA-2K19: 12-12-2019

T. John college of pharmacy conducted ESPERANZA-2K19, an international fashion show and dance competition on 12th December 2019. Mr. Ramu the main antagonist in the very popular kannada movie KGF Part 1 was the chief guest of the event. Popular directors, actors and production teams of movies Mundina nildhana, Sharadulla and Rajiva promoted their movies at the event. The event was sponsored by Dream Zone, Z movies, Farida Begum trust and Quintessence Ltd. The competitive events were judged by experts of national repute from the fields of fashion and dance. Mr. Abhi Gowda and Dheemanth were the judges for the fashion show and Mrs. Asha hemaraj and Mr. Sooraj were the judges for the dance competitons. They were highly appreciative about the talent and infrastructure at the institute. The event was a huge success, participants and teams from various institutes enjoyed a unique experience of a lifetime. The event was widely covered and appreciated in electronic and digital media.

Industrail Visit to Drug Testing Laboratory: 11-12-2019

M.Pharm students visited Drug Testing Laboratory, Drugs Control Department, Karnataka, on 11th December 2019. Dr. Sudha Samy, Chief Scientific Officer briefed about the laboratory and Dr. Krupa guided students to various departments and six different sections operating in the Drugs Control Department. Students visited all the six sections and understood various methods and principles involved in the collection of samples from pharmacies, industries and drug related stores. Students also learnt about analyzing protocols. They understood the working of several modern analytical equipments as well as techniques used in the analytical laboratory. The visit was interesting and informative. Dr. K. Natarajan accompanied the students.

Outbound Training: 06-12-2019

"T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) in association with New You Solutions had organized a student outbound training to MBA students on 06 December 2019 at Eagles Unbound, Off Kanakapura Road Bangalore. The objective of the outbound training was to inculcate innovative thinking, develop interpersonal skills, team building, adventure-based learning, family bonding etc. All the students along with two faculty members arrived at Eagles Unbound. The training started with orientation and safety briefing and followed by team building activities and games under the guidance and instructions of Ex-army officers and best outbound trained staff. All the students were involved in adventurous activities like Zipline, wall climbing, Rope course, Archery and Shooting. All the students enjoyed the training and learnt the ways to develop leadership strategies and implement the same in their personal life. All the activities were linked with practical learning. The students enjoyed the evening rain dance and snacks which were arranged in the training centre. The programme ended with words of appreciation and life lesion by Ex-Army officer. All the students were praised for their efforts to involve in all the group activities and individual events. New You Solutions handed over a certification of recognition to college along with a memento."
