Woman’s Day Celebration 2020: 11-03-2020

T. John Institute of Management and Science organized woman’s day on March 11, 2020.Our Guest of honour Ms.Kripalini .N.Swamy COO, Evobi automations Pvt.Ltd & World Youth Leader of UNESCO shared her tales of struggle and success. Further she said, gender equality is very important for a healthy society. The milestone to be reached is the basic information for a girl child in every family. Education will create awareness among the society which will further result in overall development of nation and its community.


One Day National Conference on Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives on Digital Disruption : 06-03-2020

T. John Institute of Management and Science organized one-day National Conference on “Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives on Digital Disruptions” on March 6, 2020. The conference was attended by around 90 participants from various industries and academic institutions. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Johnson Jose Sr. Director, Cisco Systems, Guest of Honor, Mr. Prakash Peter, VP, Accenture Investment Banking, Dr. Shailesh, Principal of T. John Institute of Management & Science, Head of Department, Ms. Rajni Gupta by lighting the lamp.


Industrial Visit to Precision Compaid Pvt. Limited: 02-03-2020

Fourth semester M.Pharm students visited the Precision Compaid Pvt. Limited, at Veerasandra industrial area, Bengaluru on 2nd March 2020. The company was formed in the year 1988 and specializes in the manufacture of high precision injection molded plastic components for automobile, electrical and biomedical engineering industries. The company is a convenient one stop shop for mould design, mass production,and assembly operation under one roof. Students explored the manufacturing of biomedical engineering polymers and moulds. They were accompanied by Vivek. B, faculty of TJCP.


5TH NATIONAL CONFERENCE REPORT: 29-02-2020

This report summarizes about the 5th National conference which was held on 29th February 2020 at TJGI Auditorium. The conference was convened by TJCN on the theme, “New pathways in clinical nursing practice and research: Igniting a spirit of exploration”. This conference is organized with an intention to bring together academia, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers in the field of nursing through leveraging advanced information in clinical nursing and evidence based research.


Industrial Visit to Indian Institute of Science: 29-02-2020

Students of 1st year Pharm.D and 2nd semester B.Pharm visited the Indian Institute of Science Open Day on 29th February 2020. Students witnessed cutting-edge science showcased by over 30 departments in the sprawling campus of the IISc. Students visited hundreds of exhibits including drones, panels on infectious diseases,art exhibit of microbes that reside in the soil, live demonstrations of chemical experiments and nanotechnology. IISc students and professors showed off indigenously developed technology such as a head-up display for cars. Students were truly inspired by the visit. Dr. K. Krupanidhi, Mr.Ananda. V, Mr.Sharath and Mr. Mahesh, faculty members and non-teaching staff of TJCP accompanied the students.


Guest talk on “Medical Writing for Pharma Students-Opportunities and Preparedness”: 29-02-2020

A Guest talk on the topic “Medical Writing for Pharma Students-Opportunities and Preparedness” was conducted at T. John College of Pharmacy by Dr. Balaji L G, Manager-Client Services, Indegene Technologies, Bangalore., on 29th February 2020. M. Pharm Students and Final year B.Pharm students attended the talk. The talk provided valuable insight into the opportunities in the field of medical writing for the pharmacy students and also helped their preparedness for the same. The guest talk was co-ordinated by Dr. Noopur Srivastava, faculty member TJCP.


Workshop on ‘Medical Affairs’ : 25-02-2020

T. John College of Pharmacy organised a two day workshop on ‘Medical Affairs’ in association with the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) on 25th and 26th February 2020. Pharm.D students of TJCP from 2nd year to 5th year, students from Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pariyaram and J.K.K.N College were trained at the workshop by Dr.Sakharam Garale, MD, MBA. Current topics on medical writing, clinical research and pharmacovigilance were discussed at the event. Students received hands on training about case study evaluation on the basis of research and marketing. Students were divided into various groups and their performance was evaluated based on presentation skills and knowledge in the subject. Ms.Aishwarya T.V, faculty of TJCP co-ordinated the event.


MATRIBHASHA DIWAS: 21-02-2020

T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) had organized “Matribhasha Diwas” (Mother Tongue Day) to promote the mother tongue and culture of the Nation in a prestigious manner on 21 February 2020. The students of TIMS participated in the observance of the day and various activities like elocution, essay writing and singing were organized to understand and explain the rich heritage of different languages.


‘NIMHANS SCIENCE DAY’: 13-02-2020

Students of first year Pharm.D and 2nd semester B.Pharm visited the ‘NIMHANS SCIENCE DAY’ at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences on 13th February 2020. At the event students visited various stalls that showcased technologies used in the healthcare industry. Key themes of the event were the brain, neuro infections, cancer, sleep and cognition. Students got valuable exposure to radiosurgery and other non-invasive medical procedures and even attempted a mock surgery on a brain specimen using an operating microscope. They also learnt techniques to overcome stress and sleep disorders. Students enjoyed their visit and had lots of fun participating in several educational games and quiz programmes. Mrs.Blessy Jacob and Mr.Ananda. V, faculty of TJCP accompanied the students.


Campus Recruitment Drive - Life Pharmacy: 10-02-2020

T. John College of Pharmacy conducted an international campus Recruitment drive on 10th February 2020 by the Life Pharmacy, Dubai.The company is involved in the pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals market. More than 130 students from M. Pharm, B, Pharm, Pharm.D and D. Pharm participated in the recruitment drive. Mr. Tajudeen and his team members from Life Pharmacy conducted several rounds of group discussions and one to one technical interviews etc with the students. The students also had an opportunity to understand the regulations of pharmacy business across the globe during a one hour presentation conducted by the Life Pharmacy team members. Team members of the Life Pharmacy were impressed by the good technical and communication skills as well as knowledge level of the TJCP students.
