Report on Industrial Visit on 12/09/2019 to Di Facto Robotics and Automation: 12-09-2019

On 12/09/2019 5th sem and 3rd sem mechanical engineering students visited Di Facto Robotics and Automation company in J.P Nagar 3rd phase as a part of their academic interest. Mr Arun kumar Manager [operations] gave a brief introduction about Robotics .He also emphasized on the opportunities available in the field of automation. Presently all Industries are focused on Industry 4.0 which mainly Emphasizes on Artificial intelligence empowered Robots to increase productivity, accuracy and optimization. He also explained the various parts utilized in making a Robot and the electronic circuits used to make automation. He introduced the various companies involved in manufacturing Robots like Fanuc, ABB, YASAKAVA etc…Students were given demonstration about the concept of Machine tending, Spot welding and Deburring operations. They also explained in detail about the new work holding devices operating pneumatically. Students were explained different programming languages which are being used in automation. Students were also given awareness of the precautions to be followed while working in Robotic Automation environment.

Report on Alumni Meet: 11-05-2019

The 1st Alumni meet of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, T John Institute of Technology, Gottigere, Bangalore was held on 11th May, 2019. 35 alumni’s starting from 2013- 14, attended the meet with great enthusiasm of visiting their alma mater. The program started with lamp lighting by the Principal, Director, H.O.D and notable alumni, with address from Director, Principal and H.O.D. The alumni’s shared their experiences, on and off the college, their experiences which added the value to the program. The alumni’s are working in various disciplines, starting from Mechanical, Automotive, Design to Film making and direction, mimicry and solo dance group. A few students are also pursuing higher studies abroad in Germany and Sweden too, and have sent their videos via skype and whatsapp.
