Department of Management Studies in association with IQAC has organized an exclusive yoga session on account of International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2022 for the students. International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21 June to raise awareness worldwide about the benefits of Yoga in daily life. Yoga brings balance between body, soul and mind. It helps us to understand the purpose of life and how to survive in the changing environment.


Department of Management Studies conducted a guest lecture on the topic, “IMPORTANCE OF SKILL BASED LEARNING” for the students of BBA, BCOM, BCA on 17-06-2022 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. The guest speaker was Ms. Victoria, Director – Stock Market Institute, Masters in Psychology is a Certified Career Guide, having 18 years of Experience. She is expertise in Psychology, International Relations, Business Development and Counselling. The session started with the description about Stock Market and how to make Money. Different sectors and ideology about shares and equities were also explained briefly. Also, she has given detailed explanation and real time examples about Importance of Finance skillset for jobs, Financial Learning, How to build a profile for jobs. The session was highly informative and insightful. It ended with the question and answer. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Kevin, student of BBA- VI Sem.


Department of Management Studies in association with Placement Cell, conducted Student Placement training programme on “Basics of Accounts and Finance”, “US Taxation and Mortgage system” and “Current Financial Aspects ” on 14th, 15th and 22nd of June 2022.The session was handled by Ms. Sabita Rani Lal, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies. The session started with the Introduction of accounts and discussed financial aspects related to companies with real time examples.


T JOHN COLLEGE, Department of Management Studies on account of Environmental Day organized a Inter Department Face Painting Competition on 10th June, 2022. This event aimed at providing a motivation to the young minds by providing them a platform to portray their artistic skills in the form of creative face paintings. The main themes were save water, global warming, Save Nature, etc,. Total 10 groups (25 students) consisting of 3 members each participated in the event.


Department of Management Studies on account of International Yoga Day organized an awareness programme to the students related to yoga on 07th June, 2022. The awareness programme is been organized by AICTE, New Delhi, conducting an online webinar series on Yoga titled ‘ ???: ?????? ?????? | ’ on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

Seminar on “Problem Solving and Ideation for Startups”: 30-04-2022

Department of Management Studies in association with IIC organized a Seminar on the topic “Problem solving and ideation workshop for startups” on 30th April 2022. The seminar was conducted for MBA I semester students. Mrs. Sabita Rani Lal, Assistant Professor, Department of Management was the speaker of the session. The speaker mainly dealt with the challenges faced while opening a start up, different stages of start up, techniques to be followed, financial management to run a start up and examples of recent successful start-ups in Bangalore.

Seminar on “Reasons for Entrepreneurial Failures & Lessons Learnt”: 29-04-2022

Department of Management Studies in association with IIC organized a seminar on the topic “Reasons for entrepreneurial failures and lessons learnt” on 29th April 2022. Mr. Venkatesh R, Assistant Professor, Department of Management was the speaker for the session. The session was conducted for MBA I semester students. The speaker mainly focused on the skills required to be entrepreneurs, characteristics of entrepreneurship and reasons for the failure of start-ups. The speaker also gave real examples of failure stories of successful entrepreneurs.

Alumni Meet 2022: 09-04-2022

Department of Management Studies organised an online Alumni Meet on 9th April 2022 between 12:00pm-1:00pm. Dr Lalitha P ( HOD, Department of Management Studies) welcomed everyone present for the session and Sr. Rose Mary Balappa, Principal, T John College addressed the gathering with her valuable inputs. 26 alumni from 2003 batch - 2019 batch attended the alumni meet. As the session was conducted through online mode on google meet, International Alumni were also able to log into the session. Students logged in from Italy, London, Kerala, Pondicherry, Bangalore, Pune,Mysore and Delhi.

EBSCO Training for Post Graduate students : 09-04-2022

Training session was organized by Department of Management Studies for all the Post Graduate students of T John College on how to use EBSCO database. The session was conducted by Mr Srinivasan, Senior Training Officer, EBSCO who provided insights on the various features available in the EBSCO database in both Laptop and mobile platform.

EBSCO Training for Faculties : 25-03-2022

The Department of Management Studies on 25-3-2022 conducted faculty training on , “Elton B. Stephens Company (EBSCO)” for all faculties of T John College. The resource person was Mr. M.S Srinivasa, Training manager for South states (Karnataka & Telangana) from EBSCO Information Services India Pvt Ltd (IEEE official training partner in India).
