Guest Lecture on Impact of the Pandemic on Banks & Its Efforts to Revive the Economy : 17-12-2021

The Department of Management Studies conducted a guest lecture on the topic, “Impact of the Pandemic on Banks & Its Efforts to Revive the Economy” for all our BBA students. The guest speaker was Dr. P. Suresh Kumar M.Sc., M.B.A., Ph.D, Retd. Assistant General Manager from Bank of Baroda (1977-2003). Director, School of Management Studies, Kongu Engineering College (2003-2008). Director, School of Management Studies, Director, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (2008-2013), Mentor & Director Research and Industrial consultancy 2014 to date.


CHRYSALIS - The Transformation: 30-11-2021

The Department of Management Studies conducted Chrysalis - ‘The transformation’ celebration for BBA I Semester students on 30-10-2021. The programme started with a welcome note by Ms. Kusum of BBA Semester III. The master of ceremonies of the day was Deepak. G and Swagath who did a splendid anchoring and kept all the audience engaged through the programme. Freshers were asked to come dressed up in their favourite characters and were asked to perform Fashion Show. They had a good visual treat with many interesting performance by their seniors. Mr. Pratham and Mr. Uday performed instruments which was so mesmerising that it also received a standing ovation from the audience. The juniors were also given an opportunity to showcase their talents. Apart from the cultural events many indoor games were also conducted and the winners were given prizes. The occasion was graced with the presence of Sr. Rose Mary Balappa, Principal, Dr. Karthikeyan, IQAC Director, and Dr. Lakshmi. S.R.,Vice Principal. Workshop on ERP- SAP Hana - Business Intelligence and Analytics: 30-11-2021

The Department of Management Studies conducted a workshop on the topic, “ERP- SAP Hana - Business Intelligence and Analytics” for MBA Semester III, BBA semester III and semester V students. The guest speaker was Mr Saravanan Radhakrishnan. He is a passionate Manufacturing Engineering Management professional who started his journey in the year 1996 and explored various business verticals. Now he works for “Mission itinerary to help like minded organization” to rise the profitability through the combination of people, process and procedure aligning and driving to raise the profitability as a routine practice.


GL on Strategic Management: 25-11-2021

The Department of Management Studies conducted a guest lecture on the topic, “Strategic Management” for MBA Semester III, BBA Semester III, and BBA Semester V students. The guest speaker was Dr. Pradnya N. Bhandre. She has 15 years of teaching experience. She is presently working with Sinhgad Institutes, Pune .She is an academician by choice and researcher by heart. She has completed her Ph.D from Pune University and MBA in Marketing from Bharti Vidyapeeth. She has ample research experience and has worked extensively on different projects.


Guest Lecture on Production and Planning with quality approach: 20-11-2021

The Department of Management Studies in association with IQAC, conducted a guest lecture on the topic, “Production and Planning with quality approach” for MBA Semester III students. The guest speaker was Mr. Karthikeyan S, Team Manager-South, Sheela Foam Limited. He has 13 years of experience in production and sales in automobile and foam manufacturing industry. His previous roles are with MAHA India Ltd, ATS ELGI Ltd, Roots Industries Limited. He has presented a huge scope to devise and implement strategies on the field to retain key customers & OEM’s. He has expertise in enhancing product portfolio, product visibility, devise and implement activity calendar for ATL & BTL activities, innovative sales tool preparation (technical presentation, BPV, etc.).


Guest Lecture on “Getting Corporate Ready”: 18-11-2021

The Department of Management Studies in association with IQAC, conducted a guest lecture on the topic, “Getting Corporate Ready” for UG and PG students of the department. Ms Writika Bhowmick Consultant and trainer at Early Seekers: A Skill Development Platform, was invited as the guest speaker for the day. The session was also joined by Mr Taha Maknoo, founder of Early Seekers and an alumnus of T John College (2018-21 Batch).

The Department of Management Studies in association with IQAC, conducted a guest lecture on the topic, “Getting Corporate Ready” for UG & PG students of the department. Ms Writika Bhowmick Consultant and trainer at Early Seekers: A Skill Development Platform was invited as the guest speaker for the day. The session was also joined by Mr Taha Maknoo (Founder of Early Seekers) and an alumni of T John College Batch (2018-2021).

The students of BBA and MBA had a guest lecture on the topic, “Brand Communication: An inevitable tool of Marketing” for UG & PG students of the department. Mr Kamal Suresh, Guest Faculty, NIFT Kannur was invited as the guest speaker for the day. The speaker started the talk by highlighting on the importance of Brand communication. Mr. Kamal also addressed the session on how Branding plays an important role in influencing the customers. It was an interactive session where the speaker discussed on various topics related to Brand communication, which include, direct marketing, moderate prices, etc. All the student queries were addressed and the session was appreciated by all.
