T. John Center for Advanced Social Science Research has organized online faculty training program on J Gate online journal access and utilization on 07.05.2021, (Friday) between 3.45p.m. and5.00 p.m. Mr. Rahul S, Assistant Manager, Training and Business Development, Informatics Publishing Limited was the Resource person. Mr. Rahul explained how to create individual login to access J Gate online resource through which faculty can seamlessly access the online resources at their convenience. And he explained the following features of J Gate.


Implementing NEP 2020 in Higher Education Institutions: 24-03-2021

The Department of Management Studies in association with IQAC conducted a webinar on the topic “Implementing NEP 2020 in Higher Education Institutions” on 24 March 2021. The Key Speaker was Mr. Ananda Reddy, CEO, Inner Genius. Mr. Ananda Reddy has an extensive experience of more than two decades in corporate and Education. He is an expert of NEP Implementation 2020 and has published many articles and conducted several seminars for national and International Conferences. The Keynote address was given by Sr. Rose Mary Balappa, Principal, T. John College. The speaker introduction was given by Dr. Dippi Verma, IQAC Director. The Program Overview was done by Dr. Jency Priyadharshany, Assistant Professor, Dept of Management Studies. The Program MC was Ms. Sneha, Assistant Professor, Dept of Management Studies. Dr. Lalitha, Program Co-Ordinator delivered the Vote of Thanks.


Panel Discussion on Budget Analysis 2021: 15-02-2021

The Department of Management Studies analysed the 2021-22 Budget just announced by the Union Finance Minister Hon. Nirmala Sitharaman on 1st February. It was conducted in the BHM Seminar Hall on February 15 2021 from 11 AM to 12 noon. The session was launched by Dr. Lakshmi SR, HoD of the Department of Management Studies, Sr. Rose Mary Balappa, TJC Principal, and Dr. Dippi Verma, IQAC Coordinator. She talked about the importance of a budget and how this budget was a landmark one.


Connect with Work Training Programme: 05-02-2021

The Training and Placement Department in association with IQAC hosted Barclays "Connect with Work Training Programme" for the Post Graduate Ist Semester Commerce, Computer Applications, and Management students. The courses were M. Com, MCA, and MBA. The training was conducted from 1st February to 5th February, 2 hours of two sessions per day.


Virtual Industrial visit to Cedar Crest Ice cream,United States: 30-01-2021

The Department of Management studies, organized a virtual Industrial visit to Cedar Crest Ice Cream for BBA I Semester students. The students have seen the plant, the procurement of materials the process of manufacturing of an ice Cream. They have learnt the operational steps, the business processes and the quality control applied at every stage of the production.The visit gave a very good insight on the manufacturing, operations and management to the new students. Overall it was a very good experience for them.


International Panel Discussion/Webinar On “Metamorphosis of Employability Skills - A Futuristic Perspective: 28-11-2020

The Department of Management Studies and the Placement Team of the T John College arranged an International Panel Discussion/Webinar "Metamorphosis of Employability Skills - A Futuristic Perspective. It was attended by our respected Chairman Dr. Thomas P John, Mr. Abraham Paul Vatakencherry, Mr. J Parathasarathy, Mr. Vinod John, Sr. Rose Mary Balappa, TJC Principal, Dr. Dippi Verma, IQAC Director, all HODs, faculties, students, and a host of external participants. Assistant Prof. Lokesh RV, the Placement Coordinator for PG, and Assistant Prof. Vineesh Vinay Vedsen, from the Management Department, were the moderators for the panel discussion.


EBSB Webinar : 19-11-2020

The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Cell conducted a Webinar as part of the commemoration of Uttarakhand Divas on 9th November. T. John College Conducted the Webinar on 19th November from 2:00 to 4:00 PM using Microsoft Teams. The session was conducted by Ms. Aarushi Goyal, a Life & Mindset/ Leadership Coach. She is a native of Uttarakhand herself and completed her MBA from Bangalore. She was a great resource person to speak on this topic.


Report on Painting Competitio: 30-10-2020

The Department of Management Studies as part of the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, in association with IQAC, conducted a virtual Painting competition: “World of Mahatma Gandhi” on 31st October 2020. The competition was organized for MBA and BBA students of TJC. There is an effort at T. John College, Bangalore to keep the students engaged through various activities to enhance their knowledge and creativity. The theme of the painting competition was "World of Mahatma Gandhi". This theme allowed the participants to draw and paint on a wide range of subjects related to the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. The participants could depict important events in the life of the Mahatma. They could create an artwork that will depict the Mahatma's vision, philosophy, and ideas on various subjects. He was deeply connected with Indians at all levels. So the topics could be as diverse as rural development, swadeshi, khadi, women empowerment, cleanliness, and so many such subjects.


DEPARTMENTAL ORIENTATION : 07-10-2020

The Department of Management Studies conducted the departmental orientation for BBA Semester I students. An overall college-level orientation had taken place for the UG students on 7th October. The orientation started with a prayer and welcome address by Sister Rose Mary Balappa, TJC Principal. She spoke of what a wonderful role the Management Department plays to change the face of our economy and business. She stressed hard work, punctuality, soft skills, hard skills, and dreaming big and try to make that dream come true for themselves, family, and society. Dr. Jency Priyadharshaney, Assistant Professor from the Management Department gave a welcome with a quote by the former Indian President Dr. Abul Kalam. Since God’s blessing is necessary for every human activity, Dr. Jency called Assistant Professor Shila Davis to invoke God’s blessings with an invocation song in Hindi.


Knowledge Sharing Session - Management studies Department: 15-06-2020

The knowledge sharing session was conducted by MBA at T John College. The faculties of Management department participated in FDPs (Faculty Development Programmes) and the knowledge gained is shared with other departments. Prof. Sneha S K. knowledge sharing was regarding the “Basic Research”, This session was to facilitate the participants during their research work. The session mainly focused on types of research, importance of literature review, types of research design, methods of sampling and process of making questionnaire. This was a very interactive session where all the participants and management were actively involved and discussed various queries.
