TWO DAY HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON MACHINE LEARNING & CYBER SECURITY : 16-06-2022

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering TJIT has organised “Two Day Hands on Workshop on Machine Learning & Cyber Security” on 16th and 17th of June, 2022 for 6th semester students. Dr. Ravi Kumar V, Professor and Head, Dept. of CSE, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Mysuru and Dr. Gururaj H. L, Associate Professor Dept. of CSE, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Mysuru were resource persons.


ALUMNI INTERACTION : 11-06-2022

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized Students-Alumni interaction on 11th, June 2022. Mr. Girish (2011 Batch) and Mr. Abhishek (2015 Batch) addressed their juniors and shared their memories in TJIT and they gave guidance regarding contemporary Industry Expectations. They guided them about how to get internship, how to select their final year project and other aspects of academics. They also gave some tips about placement. They appreciated the best practices which are being practiced now in TJIT. The students were highly impressed by the knowledge, ideas and suggestions given by all the alumni.


REPORT ON HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON AZURE: 28-05-2022

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering TJIT has organised “One Day Hands on Workshop on Cloud & Devops with Azure” on 28th of May, 2022 for 6th semester students. Mr. Dileep Pai, Software Developer, Nec Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., was the resource person. Mr. Dileep Pai is the Microsoft Certified Trainer. With his industry experience he trained students trained with basics of Cloud, Getting Started with Azure, Publishing code to Azure Repository, Continuous Integration and continuous deployment. The students participated in the workshop with enthusiasm and responded positively for the workshop.


Technical seminar on “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” : 26-05-2022

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering TJIT has organised Technical seminar on “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” on 26th of May, 2022 for 6th and 8th semester students. Dr. Fathima Afroz, Technical Head, iPEC Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru was the speaker for the seminar. She briefed the students about what is Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She enlightened the audience knowledge of Artificial Intelligence with her Industrial and as well as Academic experience. She focused on the job opportunities and challenges for an engineer in Health sector. Seminar coordinator, Mr. Prashant Koparde, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE welcomed and introduced the guest. HOD Prof. Suma R and other faculties were also present in the seminar. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Vivek P.S, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE.


Report on Latex Workshop: 18-05-2022

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering TJIT has organised “Two Day Hands on Workshop on Latex” on 18th and 19th of May, 2022 for 8th semester students. Ms. Nikitha V. P, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE, TJIT was the resource person. The students were trained with basic modules of Latex tool which help them to prepare the report for their academic Technical Seminar, Internship and Project work. The modules covered are – Preamble and Structure, Math Mode and Algorithm, Tables and Graphics, Academic Documents and Beamer.


Webinar on “How to achieve Product Market Fit(PMF)” : 24-03-2022

T. John Institute of Technology Institutiom Innovation Council(TIIC) organized a Webinar on “How to achieve product-market fit” by Mr. Balaji B.K., Senior Executive, Deshpande Startups on 24.03.2022. The session was excellently presented by Mr. Balaji B.K. who gave an elaborate explanation of ”how to start a startup”. In his session, he shed light on how to achieve Product-market fit, the most common reasons why startups fail and the direct dependence of problem-solution fit on the customer needs, customer segment, and value proposition. He spoke in detail about Despande Startups and also shared his journey towards his successful entrepreneurship career to inspire the students. He shared his valuable knowledge about the design of products suitable for current trends in the market.

Let’s Start-Up: 05-03-2022

T. John Institute of Technology IIC (TIIC) organised a Webinar on “Let’s Startup” on 05/03/2022. This Webinar was organised to create the awareness about Startups among Students. The session was excellently presented by Mr. Suhruth G Ujjni, Community Manager, K-tech Innovation Hub, who gave an elaborate explanation about start-up ideas. In his session he shed light on products, services and different funding for start-up. Mr. Suhruth had a way of reaching the audience with his simple and clear explanation. He spoke in detail about K-tech Innovation Hub. He shared his valuable knowledge about what to do and what not do in start-ups. During the session the students raised many queries to which Mr. Suhruth gave outstanding answers.


MOU WITH IBM: 19-11-2021

T. John Institute of Technology signed MOU with IBM on 19/11/2021. As a part of MOU, IBM will be giving technical training to TJIT students on recent technical skills. Courses Included are IBM- Security Intelligent Analyst, IBM- Block Chain Developer, IBM- Artificial Intelligence Analyst.


Report on Project Exhibition ‘Transilica’: 23-07-2021

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering TJIT has conducted an online project exhibition “Transilica” on 23/07/202 at 10am to 12:00pm. The exhibition was conducted for the PU and Diploma students. The projects were based on real time application of transistors. The main aim of the project exhibition was to make aware of the different real time application of transistors in our day-today life, encouraging the students to learn the concepts practically and motivating them to do mini projects. More than 150, students from various PU colleges across the Karnataka attended the exhibition. The exhibition was conducted in online mode in Microsoft’s Team platform.
