MARKETING QUIZ : 25-09-2019

The Department of Management studies, T John college, conducted Marketing quiz competition for V-Semester BBA, Marketing specialization students on 25th September 2019.The quiz is based on the topics of basic marketing, market segmentation, product life cycle and marketing strategies. There were four teams and Students were highly involved and participated enthusiastically. Finally team C, Ms.Kajal , Mr.Rahil , Mr.Muzammil , Mr.Finny and Mr.Saqib were the winners of the Quiz. It improved the knowledge and given a good exposure to the students.

HR QUIZ : 13-9-2019: 13-09-2019

The Department of Management studies conducted HR quiz competition for V-Semester BBA, HR specialization students on 13th September 2019. The quiz is based on the topics like HR planning, training methods, employee attitude. There were four teams, each consisting of 3 participants. It was conducted in two rounds and there was a tie between team B and team D at the end. Students were highly involved and participated enthusiastically. Finally team D, Ms. Sanchi , Ms. Kusum Kumari and Mr. Deepak Gigi were the winners of the Quiz. It has given an exposure and enhanced the knowledge of the students.

Guest Lecture on “Career opportunities and the scope of growth in the field of marketing and sales”: : 06-09-2019

The guest lecture was organized by the department of Management studies for the students of BBA V Semester on 6th September 2019 . The guest speaker, Mr. Jatinder Mohan from People skills Inc . Shared his real time experience of business to the students.

The department of Management studies arranged a guest lecture for the students of BBA I Semester on on 6th September,2019. .The resource person was Mr. Jatinder Mohan from People skills Inc .

Report on UBA NSS activity: 06-09-2019

T. John College NSS unit recognized the significance of education and, created a symposium for the young NSS student volunteers to actively participate in this appreciable activity at Doddathoguru government school, Doddathoguru village , (The adopted village under Unnat Bharath Abhiyan, a flagship project of MHRD). Initiated by Prof. Vaishnavi.R , Department of Languages, T. John College, with the extensive support from the Doddathoguru Gram Panchayat.

Report on UBA NSS Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Activity at Doddathoguru Village on IndependenceDay: 15-08-2019

Mahatma Gandhi had rightly said, “Sanitation is more important than Independence”. He was aware of the pathetic situation of rural India at that time and he dreamt of a clean India where he emphasised on cleanliness and sanitation as an integral part of living. As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a lot of activities are undertaken to ensure a clean and green India. The Students Role in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is said to be vital in turning India clean and green as they are the emerging crops of nation. Being said that, they are the brand ambassadors of this noble cause. Students can also help their ignorant or illiterate family members and others.

CLUB WRITE UP 9.8.2019: 09-08-2019

The club activities for the day commenced with the enthusiastic participation of the students in various club activities. The Culinary club taught the students to cook new delicacies .The Yoga Club started with a loosening exercises and students performed Surya Namaskara . Four forms of pranayama :Nadia Shuddi,Brahmari Shuddhi, Sheethali and Kapalabathi were practiced. Two new asanas Ushtrasana , Shalabasan were practiced. The IT Club students were given a session on significance of web technology, the application areas, introduction of tags in the various technologies that includes latest ones like HTML, JavaScript, Perl, JSS . The students later designed static web pages The Sales and Marketing club discussed the promotional strategies for promoting the products which are our college’s hoodies, t -shirts and caps. Students indulged in discussing on planning of promotional activities such as designing of posters, possible channels through which promotions can be undertaken. The Literary Club conducted a creativity and analytical enhancement activity which included a article writing. The Photography Club worked on the theme of Still Photography.

Introduction to Yoga and Meditation for NSS Volunteers of T.John College: 02-08-2019

In our increasingly fast-paced and technologically advanced society, it is absolutely vital that young people learn the necessary techniques for dealing with stress, anxiety, self-esteem, self-expression, peer pressure, anger, depression, and countless other issues they may face in the coming years.


The skill development centre arranged a career guidance session for the V semester students of BBA and B.Com on 26/07/2019. The session was chaired by Mr. Guru Sharan, Founder, Pathfinder NRI- an educational coaching and consulting firm. An alumnus of K. S. Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Mr. Sharan bagged his Masters’s degree in Electrical and Computer engineering from University of Florida. An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Sharan has been a part of various entrepreneurship clubs and has an experience of working with companies like Sharp springs and Walgreens.


Department of Business Administration had organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Trading in capital market’ on 24th July 2019. The session was conducted by Mr. V Prabhakar, Founder, Ascent Capital Market Academy. Mr. Prabhakar has worked with the Coimbatore Stock Exchange and the Bangalore Stock Exchange, and currently he is associated with the BSE and NSE. B.Com. 1st Semester, BBA – 5th Semester (Finance specialization) and B.Com- 5th Semester (Finance specialization) students have attended the session.
