We TJCN organised sports and cultural fest " Festin 0 Beats" on 5th&6th July 2018.Our students enthusiastically participated in various sports and cultural events like cricket,throwball,volleyball,dance,mime show,fashion show,drawing,Rangoli etc..Our IV year B.Sc Nursing students took special interest in organising the programme successfully.
T. John College of Nursing has organised one day visit for Leprosy Hospital,Near Magadi Road for 1st year and 2nd year students on 04/05/2018.The objectives of the visit were to understand the physical &organizational structure of the institution,To learn about the functions of the institutions,To understand the types of services provided by the centre.
As a critical component of health care industry, the nursing profession must keep pace with changes in the health care system to insure the continued delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient centered case. With a view to this decided to conduct a conference on the theme “ Current challenges and innovations in nursing practice – synergsing towards excellence” with the objectives:
RGUHS –Inter collegiate Chess Tournament, Bengaluru Zone, 2017-2018 was hosted by T John College of Nursing, Bengaluru on 18th and 19th, August, 2017.Mr. Suman, National Best Physique Athelete and an Alumni of T John Group was the chief guest. Students from various Medical, Dental, pharmacy & Nursing colleges participated in the tournament. Bangalore Medical college won the Trophy as Winners for Inter-collegiate Chess Tournament, Bengaluru zone,2017-18-Men & Women and the Runner up for Men was from Krishnadevarya College and Women from Dayananda Sagar Dental College. The programme was successful.
Workshop on “Pre-departure Orientation Programme” was conducted by NORKA ROOTS (A Government of Kerala Undertaking) in collaboration with T John College of Nursing, Bengaluru on Saturday, 19th August, 2017.
“SNA MAEET 2017” organized by Student Nurses Association, was held on 6/7/17 at T John College of Nursing. Various sports, cultural and literary competitions were conducted as a part of the fest. Programme was huge success with the enthusiastic participation from the students of all the batches .Group 4 “AVENGERS” won the overall championship.
John College of Nursing celebrated Lamp Lighting ceremony of 14th Batch B.Sc Nursing students and Graduation Ceremony of 10th batch B.Sc Nursing students on 23rd February 2017 at 11:00 am, TJGI parish auditorium.
RGUHS BANGALORE ZONE INTER-COLLEGIATE CHESS TOURNAMENT FOR MEN AND WOMEN 2016 was held on 22nd September, 2016 at T.John College of Nursing, organized by the department of Physical Education and Sports, The tournament were inaugurated by the Mr. Thippeswamy H N (principal) T John Institute of Technology, Mrs. Gladish George (Principal) T John College of Nursing, Mr.Govinda Kumar, (Physical Education Director), TJGI. 14 teams took part in the Chess Tournament.

A team of seven students from T. John College of Nursing participated in RGUHS 15th Inter Collegiate Athletic Meet held at S D M College of Dental Science and Research, Dharwad from 28 – 31 October, 2013. 55 Colleges under RGUHS across Karnataka participated in this event. Abba Nasir, ( B.Sc Nursing II Year) won 3rd place in 10000 mts running event with 47.48 minutes.
