Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) is one of the major flagship programmes of the Government to bring in cultural integration of the country as a part of the vision to build a "New India by 2022". The MHRD is the coordinating Ministry for these activities under EBSB.
India is a unique nation, whose fabric has been woven by diverse linguistic, cultural and religious threads, held together into a composite national identity by a rich history of cultural evolution, coupled with a rousing freedom struggle that was built around the tenets of non-violence and justice.
To promote national integration, sustained and structural connect between denizen regions of India, “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" was announced by Hon'ble Prime Minister on 31st October, 2015 on the occasion of the 140th Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
With a view to foster national integration by a co-ordinated mutual engagement process between States, Union Territories, Central Ministries, Educational Institutions and general public through linguistic, literary, cultural, sports, tourism and other forms of people-to-people exchanges, the Government of India has launched an initiative of “ Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB)”.
All the 36 States/ UTs in India have been paired for an entire year and mandated to sign MoUs with each other, delineating a set of activities that they would carry out together though the year.
Being regulated by AICTE and to contribute in nationalistic cause of EBSB, Department of Management Studies, T John College, has initiated “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” Cell. The Coordinator of the cell is Dr Dippi Verma. The cell coordinates and initiates activities which generates awareness about linguistic, literary, cultural, sports, tourism of Uttarakhand State.
