Dr. Nilanjana Basu

Dr. Nilanjana Basu has been appointed as Vice Principal of T. John College on 1st August 2010. Prior to this she was holding the post of the Head of the Dept. of Biotechnology, T. John College. Dr. Basu was a DBT Post Doctoral fellow between 2003 – 2006 at the Indian Institute of Science. Dept. of Microbiology and Cell Biology where her area of reaearch work was “Silkworm Bioreactors”. She has done her PhD in 2003 from Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR) where she worked as a CSIR fellow on “Vibrio Phages”. She is an alumnus of Presidency College [Dept. of Physiology], Kolkata where she did her UG studies and Dept. of Biophysics, Calcutta University where she did her PG studies.
