The staff of T. John College went for an outing on October 31, 2009. It is a beloved tradition here that functions as a "team bonding" mechanism helping to integrate employees with each other.

Sixty five members of the staff left the campus with great zeal early at 8 AM. Principal of T. John College Dr. Sister Flower Kommatam led the team. The picnic was well organized and conducted by Prof. Rajashekara, HOD, Dept. of Computer Applications. Dr. B. S. Patil, Director, Dept. of Management Studies and Mr. Suresh N, Dept. of Hotel Management coordinated the programme.

The first spot to visit was Kokkarebellur, a village famous for its bird sanctuary. It is a place where migratory birds fly in and settle for breeding. For the staff who are used to the urban life, the village atmosphere was really a refreshing and exciting experience. The staff visited Shri kalabhairaveswara temple at Bharathi Nagar. The expanse of clear sky and the serenity of Shivanasamudra was the next great thrill that the staff had. It is doubtless that the amusement of witnessing the eternal beauty of Gaganachukki and Barachukki waterfalls will remain enshrined in the hearts of the staff forever.

Next was the time for exhibiting all the energy internalized from the tranquility of nature. All were really enthusiastic enjoying the coolness of Thalekkadu river. Lot of fun and merriment was there like swimming and other games. Many relished the sea food too. The staff reached safely back in the campus at around 8 PM.

It was an opportunity for all to mingle with each other and "let their hair down".
