The Department of Computer Application envisions imparting holistic education to students encompassing technical competence and life skills.
The Department is offering 3- year full time under graduate (BCA) and post graduate (MCA) programs affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by AICTE – New Delhi.
The department of computer applications has state of the art infrastructure, well-equipped labs, spacious classroom facilities and eco-friendly ambience conducive to learning.
The department is supported by a dedicated team of proficient faculties with extensive academic, research and industry experience. They strive to incorporate innovative teaching practices to nurture critical thinking in students.

1) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) 

  Syllabus »

Bachelor of Computer Applications is a 3-year undergraduate program spanning a period of six semesters. It is one of the popular courses among students who aspire for a career in IT field. The course is application oriented and equips the students with technical competence requisite for software development. Subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like C and Java are covered.
Duration: BCA degree shall extend over a period of three academic years with six semesters.

Eligibility: Student who have passed PUC-II Science, Arts or Commerce a minimum of 35% ofmarks. Student who have passed JODC or Diploma in Engineering (of three-year duration of Government of Karnataka) with a minimum of 35% of aggregate marks in every semester / year.

Future Scope: After completing the course students can take up jobs in IT companies like HCL, WIPRO. Students interested in higher studies can take up MCA, MS in computers or MBA depending on their interests.

2) Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

  Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is aimed at equipping the undergraduates with varied backgrounds who aspire to seek career in the field of Information Technology.Generally, 1st year of the course covers fundamentals, 2nd year focuses on conceptual frameworks in depth and 3rd year is more of specialized learning and project work. This course helps the students to develop core competencies in computer applications.Duration: MCA degree shall extend over a period of three academic years with six semesters.

Eligibility: A candidate with undergraduate degree of minimum 3-year duration in any discipline from a recognized University with not less than 50% aggregate of all the years having studied Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the elective at Degree Level.

Future Scope: After completing the course students can become IT Professionals in their dream companies. In the current era of blooming startups, aspiring students can be entrepreneurs. Students can also take up research work on the latest technologies in their area of interest.
