The Department of Tourism
Administration marked the beginning of the Inter-Collegiate Fest
“LeVoyage 08” with an interesting event called ‘Snapshots’.
The participants of the event were from Christ College, K.L.E
College, Acharya College and Jyothi Nivas College. The participants
had prepared charts on Indian art and architecture followed by
30 minutes presentation and questionnaire. The next exciting event
was ‘Silk Route’ where the students were asked for
an itinerary preparation to plan out a five day/four nights detailed
itinerary to Andaman and Nicobar for a North Indian couple arriving
at Port Blair with the package based on high end properties on
continental plans with private transfers. The MadAds Competition
began at 11.15a.m.The participants were from colleges like K.L.E,
Christ, Jyothi Nivas, Garden City, Oxford and so on. The students
in various teams were asked to give a meaningful presentation
of a theme within a limit of five minutes. Some of the Mad Ads
were quite hilarious and kept the audience in splits of laughter.
The participants also got an opportunity to showcase their artistic
talents through the ‘Face painting’ competition. The
participants were from prominent colleges like Oxford, Christ
K.L.E , Jyothi Nivas, Acharya and Garden city. The theme was ‘One
state, many worlds’. The students enjoyed themselves painting
their faces with various aspects related to art and architecture
of Karnataka. The ‘Paper presentation’ was an individual
event where students of different colleges presented their papers
on ‘Heritage tourism’using various visual aids.
