T.John College of Pharmacy
The Inter-collegiate fest of T. John College
of Pharmacy “Excelsior” was inaugurated by Dr.S.Sachidanandan,
Registrar of Examination, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and
Sciences. The Guests of honour included the chairman of T.John
Group of Institutions Dr.Thomas P.J, the campus Director Wing
Commander (Rtd) David Yohan, and the Principal of T. John College
of Pharmacy, Dr. Vineeth Chandy.
Dr. Vineeth Chandy welcomed the august gathering. During his welcome
address he announced the release of the 2nd edition of the magazine
“Pharma Vision 2007-2008” complied by T.John College
of Pharmacy.
Dr. Thomas P.J during his speech stressed on the opportunities
and challenges that exist in Clinical Research. He called it “the
upcoming field” in the pharmaceutical arena. The Campus
Director talked about the variety of choices in the field of Pharmacy
and stated that the Pharmacists are on par with the other Medical
Professionals.
The Chief Guest Dr. Sachidhanandan called Clinical Research an
important link in the health sector in India. He emphasized on
the immense opportunities existing in this platform. The inauguration
was followed by a short cultural programme by the students of
T.John College of Pharmacy.
T.John College of Pharmacy under the auspices of “excelsior”
conducted a State level Elocution Competition on “Opportunities
and Challenges facing Clinical Research in India” on February
19th 2008. There were 300 entries from more than 40 colleges across
the state. The prominent among them were IIM, Bangalore, Siddhaganga
College, Tumkur, M.S.Ramaiah College, Bangalore, JSS College,
Mysore and Manipal College, Mangalore.
