Mental Health awareness is a very important aspect that each and every individual needs to inculcate and spread. An initiative by NIMHANS (National Institute Of Mental Health And Neurosciences) Bangalore is to ensure maximum awareness of mental health in the society. A workshop was conducted for the students of I &III year BA Psychology of T John College, Bangalore on the 6th of April 2018 by AsstProf. Dr. Jyotsna Agarwal, Junior Consultant and Ph.D. Scholar Ms. Janhavi Devdutt & Psychologist Ms Humera Banu of the Positive Psychology Unit under the Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS, Bangalore. Talking about awareness, it starts with oneself: self care and being a support system for someone with a mental disturbance is the best that can be done from one’s part. There are several WHO (World Health Organisation) descriptions on the mental health prevention. The workshop, which went on till 3 in the afternoon was of great help and had achieved target to make today’s generation understand  the need and success in spreading the awareness on Mental Health. As a conclusion, a task was given to each student where they had to select a method by which they will pass on mental health awareness to others in the society.
