Guest Lecture for all semesters of BBA department in T John College


A guest lecture was organized by the BBA department on “How to prepare for better results in University Examination”. The session was initiated by Mr. Arun Kumar, Assistant Professor, for the students of 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters and the key note speaker was Dr. Farooq Pasha, an eminent academician who is associated with Bangalore university. Mrs. Lakshmi S R, Head of the department welcomed him to address the student community.

Dr Farooq Pasha is the joint secretary of the Bangalore University Teacher Council for commerce and management (BUTCCM) and a resource person for counselling and faculty development programmes and currently working with GFGC Kengeri. He is also author of 26 books written primarily for Bangalore university for B Com, BCA, BBA courses.

The morning session was dedicated to the students of 1st Semester and it began at 11:30 AM. The speaker was introduced to the students by Mrs. Sunita Ramaswamy, Assistant Professor of the BBA department.

The one and half hour session was immensely enriching in terms of the nuances of preparing and writing the university exam. The talk focussed on fine tuning the answers and making them tailor made for the questions asked. The highlight of the lecture was building self confidence, time management and the mode of preparation and smart answering.

The afternoon session belonged to the students of 3rd and 5th semester students who took full advantage of the speaker’s vast experience and knowledge in this arena. It began at 2 PM and concluded at 3:15 PM.

The guest lecture was an eye opener for the freshers who got a clear picture as to the intricacies involved in answering questions for the examination.

 As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented by Mrs. Lalitha P, Associate professor of BBA department.
