On 25th and 26th November 2017, the MBA III semester students of T. John College attended the 1st Global Conference on “Making Management Studies Matter”. This conference was organized by Canara Bank School of Management Studies (Bangalore University) and Regional College of Management (Bengaluru, India).
The Management Studies Department, TJC organized an Industrial Visit for the III Semester MBA (HR) students to UNIBIC on 22nd Nov 2017.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Amlan Das, Mr. Tarun and Ms. Prakruthi from Streamlyn Academy, Bangalore. It is an educational institution delivering comprehensive training on digital marketing to industry executives, entrepreneurs, and new graduates. Streamlyn Academy addresses the digital transformation needs of professionals and corporations through a hybrid training model comprised of classroom sessions, case-studies, and real projects.
The Management Studies Department of T.John College arranged for an alumni talk for our MBA students on 20th November 2017.
On 16th November 2017, the students of MBA Semester 3 participated in a guest lecture organized for them focusing on the area of Strategic management. Mr. Vasudevan, a quality and strategy consultant, Yushman LLC conducted the session. He is a Post Graduate in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, batch of 1995 and is currently manging his business that focusses on providing consulting services to Food operations in the area of ISO consultancy and Food safety training programs.
The Department of Management Studies of T. John College organised an orientation lecture on Digital Marketing on 16th November 2017.
On 14th November 2017, the MBA students of semester 3 visited 4 R Recycle which is an e-recycling company based in Peenya, Bangalore. The organization is an authorized e-recycler and is involved in extracting metal components from PCB’s, Sim cards, computer chips etc. Mr. Ram, the proprietor of the company, started this entrepreneurial venture 6 years ago with the concept that ‘nothing should go waste’. The facility collects e-wastes from various organizations and breaks them down to their component parts. Each part is segregated and sold as input to different industries.
The Department of Management Studies of T. John College arranged Industrial Visit cum a certification course on “Beginners Training in Equity Market” for finance specialization students of MBA III Semester & Mcom III Semester students.
Department of Mgmt. Studies T John College organized a Guest Lecture on Consulting Business for MBA I Sem students on 8th November, 2017. The talk was delivered by Mr. V Krishnan,former MD of ITCOT consultancy services.With his rich experience the honorable speaker highlighted the need of consultants and how it adds value to business growth & development.
On the 30th of October 2017, Ms. Poulomi Bhattacharya, Director – HR, Crowne Plaza, Bengaluru visited the campus to address the final year students of the MBA program to introduce the Hospitality Industry as a possible employer for management graduates. Ms. Poulomi comes with a rich experience of 18 years spanning Operations, Learning & Development and Human Resources.
