The Importance of Hindi as a Language: 21-09-2017

On 21st September-2017.DR.RENU RANI SHUKLA,from Higher Academy Learning gave a “Guest Lecture” for the students of T.John College. On “The Importance of Hindi as Language.”


On the 30th of August 2017, students of V semester B.A. represented T.JOHN COLLEGE and participated in various events at Yuva Nova by Surana College, namely, Pick n Speak, Photography and Meme writing. Shashi Shekhar Malhotra participated in Meme Writing along with Rasksha.B, who also participated in pick and speak. Sooraj.S of V BA JEP participated in KODACHROME, a Photography competition and was announced 2nd runner-up. Raksha and Shashi secured the 1st place for Meme writing. Evidently the entire event turned out to be a very good experience and equally rewarding.


Languages department (BA(JEP)) Of T.John College organised fresher's day for all the newly joined students of 2017 batch on 24th August 2017.


Few of the best years in an individual’s life are spent as a child and later in the collegiate years. In a busy world like that of today, people forget about how valuable, memorable and precious were those years .

One Day Symposium at School of Graduate Studies, Jain University: 19-08-2017

The I and V semester students of BA JEP, T. John College attended a one day Symposium at School of Graduate Studies, Jain University on 19th of August 2017. The speakers for the day were Prof. N. Manu Chakravarthy, National Award winning film critic and Sahitya Academy awardee, Dr. Nataraj Huliyar, cultural critic, and Sahitya Academy Awardee and Sri. Vivek Shanbhag, renowned novelist and playwright.

First and Third Year students of BA (JEP) course at T. John College visited Radio Active CR (90.4 MHz) radio station: 03-08-2017

On the 3rd of August, First and Third Year students of BA (JEP) course at T. John College visited Radio Active CR (90.4 MHz) radio station, situated at Jain University Campus, Palace Road. Radio Active is an urban community radio station, licensed to Jain Group of Institutions (JGI). It was launched in 2007, and has over the years catered to diverse heterogeneous and marginalised communities in the society. The motto reads, “Voice for the Voiceless”.

BA Journalism students of T. John College, visited TNIE office: 02-08-2017

The I and III Year, BA, Journalism students of T. John College, Gottigere, visited TNIE office on Queen’s Road on 2nd August. Mr. Dev, from the Marketing section of the Bureau greeted them. They then made their way to the conference room at the Editorial section, where Ms. Bindu Menon, News Editor at the Bureau, engaged the students in an active discussion about principles of reporting and editing at TNIE.

Alumni Engagement on prospects in Aviation Industry: 01-08-2017

On 1st of august 2017, Ms. Reenu Thomas delivered a guest lecture on the diverse prospects in Aviation Industry. Ms. Reenu Thomas, an alumna of BA JEP department is presently working with Emirates as a Cabin Crew member.

Guest Lecture on Modern Age Disorder: 24-07-2017

On 24th July 2017 a guest lecture was organized for the students of BA department of T.John College. The lecture was conducted by Ms. Yeshashwini, lecturer in Joythi Nivas College and is currently pursuing her PhD.

Workshop on Life Skills: 22-07-2017

The BA (JEP) students of T John College attended a workshop on ‘Life Skills’ on 22nd July, 2017 organised by the Department of BA (JEP) at T.John College. The workshop was delivered by the speaker Mr. Akthar Rameez, who is Life Coach at Deeksha College.
