Bangalore Times/ OPPO Mobile Auditions for Fresh Face of the Year-2017: 25-09-2017

The Department of Hotel Management -T. John College organises an audition for the fresh face contest in the campus on 25th Sep 2017.The event was organised by BANGALORE TIMES in coordination with OPPO MOBILES and RADIO JOCKEY -Mr. R.J. RAAJ. The event was a great success with more than 100 registrations of highly talented students of the various departments of T. John College. Six Students were short listed for the second round to be held in the Forum Mall in a few days ahead. The media visibility was guaranteed for the same event and it was a great platform for the students to showcase their talents .


CONGRATULATIONS !!! MIGHARA HULANGAMUWA: 13-09-2017

Mighara Hulangamuwa, a frenzy of golden energy has won 3 Gold medals and 5 Silver medals in various swimming competitions conducted by Bangalore University on 13.09.2017. He had won bronze medals in 2016 in various competitions conducted by Bangalore University. The Department of Hotel Management – T. John College is truly proud of his Laureus exceptional achievement.


The 1st Semester students of T. John College- Department of Hotel Management visited BAMUL Dairy: 11-09-2017

The 1st Semester students of T. John College- Department of Hotel Management visited BAMUL Dairy, Bannerghatta road, Bangalore in two batches on 8th and 11th of September, 2017. Ms. Gowramma, Assistant Marketing Manager, explained the history of BAMUL and the various Dairy products manufactured in BAMUL.


Guest Lecture on Recent Trends in Retail Management: 08-09-2017

On 8th September, 2017, T. John College, Department of hotel management conducted a guest lecture on “Recent trends in Retail Management” by Mr. Daniel Davis Dinakaran, Marketing manager, Hyper city Bangalore for 1st and 7th semester BHM students . He gave an elaborate information on current trends in Retail management.It was a very interactive session. His Eminent knowledge in Marketing Industry helped our students to inculcate further knowledge on Retail Industry. The students found it was very informative.


Workshop on Molecular Mixology : 07-09-2017

The students of 3rd Sem BHM department attended a workshop on molecular mixology organised by Garden City University, Department of Hospitality Management and Liquid Art Bar Tending school on 7th September, 2017.


INDUSTRIAL VISIT FOR BHM 1ST SEM STUDENTS: 30-08-2017

Department of Hotel Management -T. John College had organised an Industrial visit for the 1st Sem students in Hotel Shangri-La. Complete batch was divided into four batch and took them to hotel on 22nd,23rd,28th and 30th of August 2017.


BHM- FRESHERS DAY-2017: 19-08-2017

The Fresher Day of the BHM- I semester students were conducted by the senior students in the basement of the church premises on 19th August 2017.The venue was nicely decorated with a tribal theme. The program started at 9:30 AM. The fresher was introduced and exhibited their talents. Everyone enjoyed the event and was followed by a lunch.


Guest Lecture by Ms. Bharti Singh on House-Keeping: 18-08-2017

The Department of Hotel Management. - T. John College had organised a guest lecture on 18/8/2017 By Ms Bharti Singh for 1st semester Students of BHM. Ms Bharti is the executive housekeeper of Hotel Crowne Plaza - Bengaluru.


FDP at Army College on Innovative Methods in Class Room Teaching Using Emotional Intelligence and Technology: 11-08-2017

Mr. Finny K Mathew, Mr. Naveen Abraham and Ms. Bandana Singh attended a FDP Program in Army Institute of Hotel Management on 11 August 2017. Evangelist Dr. Pavan Soni was the speaker on this occasion. He is a graduate from IHM Bengaluru and takes classes there as well.


Alumini Interaction for BHM Students: 10-08-2017

Mr. Jai Ganesh, an alumnus of BHM 2005-2008 batch, addressed the 1st semester and 7th semester students of BHM on 10th August 2017. Mr Jai Ganesh is working as a project manager at Moghul Catering in USA. He spoke about the Entrepreneur Skills in the Hospitality arena. Student found the session very interesting and useful.
