Participation in the FDP at BNMIT: 13-01-2017

The Faculty Development Program was conducted by B.N.M.I.T on “Artificial Intelligence & Its Applications” from 9th January to 13th January, 2017. The faculties Ms Ayain John, Ms. Gowri Prasad from the department of Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT took participation in the FDP.


National Youth Day Celebration by CSE Dept. TJIT: 12-01-2017

On 12th January, 2017 “National Youth Day” was organised by the department of Computer Science and Engineering, T. John Institute of Technology to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, maker of the modern India. The event was honoured by Dr. H N Thippeswamy, Principal, TJIT, HOD’s of all departments and teaching and non-teaching staff of T. John Institute of Technology.


“Awareness workshop on Smart India Hackathon - 2017” Attended by CSE Dept. Staffs: 23-11-2016

Prof. Narasimhayya B E, faculty from the Department of CSE and Mr. Avishkar, VII semester student attended an “Awareness workshop on Smart India Hackathon - 2017” on 23-11-2016 at the Jnanajyothi Auditorium, Palace Road, Bengaluru. The workshop provided valuable insights on real life problems for which digital solutions can be obtained.


Guest Lecture By Dr. H.L.Srinivasa working scientist in ISRO: 12-11-2016

On 12th November 2016, guest lecture was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, where the lecture was given by Dr. H L Srinivasa working scientist in ISRO. Final and pre-final year students of department of Computer Science, Electronics and Information Science took active part in the seminar.


Introduction for Industry Project was organized by CSE Department at T John Institute of Technology: 07-11-2016

A talk on Introduction for Industry Project was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering at T John Institute of Technology on 7th November, 2016. The speaker was Mr. Karthik, an alumnus of TJIT. He gave an insight towards ongoing projects in the industries and briefed about the latest trends in IT. He also highlighted the real time challenges that can be taken as academic projects. The session was motivational and inspirational as the final year students of CSE got an opportunity to interact with their own senior student of TJIT.


Diwali Celebration By TJIT CSE Department: 26-10-2016

On 26th October, 2016 Department of Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT celebrated Diwali festival. Dr. Mahesh T R, Prof and Head, Dept. Of CSE distributed sweets to all students of the department and also organized lunch to all teaching and non-teaching faculties.


CSE Students, TJIT won Gold Medal award at the 25thChapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2016): 23-10-2016

The students from the department of Computer Science & Engineering have bagged the gold medal at the 25th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2016) under the category of Kaizen Display. Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bengaluru Chapter organized 25th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2016 ) on 23rd October, 2016 at T John Institute of Technology , Bengaluru. QCFI is recognized as the Institution representing the Quality Circle Movement in India and has represented the country in several International Forums.


Industial Visit To CDAC By TJIT CSE Students: 21-10-2016

Students of seventh semester Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT had visited the campus of CDAC-Center for Development of Advanced Computing on 21st October, 2016 along with two faculties Prof. Suma R and Prof. Sowmya V. There was a presentation on supercomputer-“PARAM PADMA”,developed by CDAC. “PARAM PADMA” is a terascale supercomputer and it is 1000 times more powerful than PARAM-8000 that was developed earlier. PARAM PADMA has low latency, high bandwidth, process-to-process protection, deliver of message within 10microseconds and various such new and advanced features.


CSE Students, TJIT won 2nd Prize at KAGADA-2016 13th National Student Conference organized by IEEE UVCE, Bengaluru: 21-10-2016

On 21st October 2016, Kagada -2016, the 13th National Students Conference was organized in Connection with IEEE Bangalore Section by University Visvevaraya College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Thirteen students in four teams namely Ms. Vijayashree M R, Ms. Punita A, Ms. Aishwarya Gowda H B, Ms. Aishwarya A, Ms. Archana M, Ms. Megha M, Ms. Anushree K U, Ms. Anaswara Elizabeth, Ms. Lisna C H, Ms.Lalitha M, Ms. Rakshitha Gowda, Ms. Nandini M, Ms. Monica Sneha from the department of Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT took active participation in the poster presentation under the guidance of Prof. Sejal N and Prof. Ashwini Patil , the faculties of CSE Department.
