The inauguration of Tarang+ an intercollegiate sports and cultural fest organized by T.John Institute of Technology took place on 22nd and 23rd September, 2017 had a filmy touch, as Sandalwood artists Mr. Sathish Ninasam Ms. Sindhu Lokanath Ms. Sowjanya, RJ @ FM 91.1 – Radio city, Ms. Hemalath, VJ @ Udaya TV and Mr. Chandu Gowda were present at the inaugural function and congratulated the management, organizers and the participants from more than 60 colleges across Bengaluru, Chikkaballapur, Kolar and near by places.

Mahajan, the circle police Inspector, Hulimavuwas the chief guest of the program. T. John Institute of Technology celebrated 157th Birth anniversary of M. Visvesvaraya as Engineers Day on 15th September 2017 at seminar hall (room No. 327), TJIT. Dr Thippeswamy H. N., Principal addressed the gathering and shared lifetime achievements and contributions of Sir M. Vesvesvaraya to country in general and engineering community in particular. Principal shred some instances of challenges faced by Sir M. Visvesvaraya to motivate future engineers and teachers.
Closing ceremony of SWACCHTA PAKHWADA held on 15th September 2017 at T. John Institute of Technology, Bangalore organized by NSS Cell, TJIT. Swacchatha Pakwada is an initiative form Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and instructed all the Indian Universities to conduct prescribed events related to Swacch Bharath Abhiyan. Institution conducted various events and competitions being a central theme ‘Swacch Bharath Abhiyan”.
Mr Amith K, was invited to deliver a technical talk on “CAD, Reverse Engineering and Product Development”. He is currently serving as Managing partner for Matrical Technologies. He addressed the 3rd, 5th and 7th semester students on 14/09/2017. He spoke about the emerging techniques and technologies in the mechanical industry. He cleared many ambiguities among students in industrial design and engineering.
Ms. Sushma.U.S, Alumni of ECE Department was invited to deliver a technical talk on “Operating System”. She is currently working for Fujitsu Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. as UNIX administrator. She has been certified as system administrator and certified engineer by Redhat. She addressed the 5th and 7th semester students on 09/09/2017. Her valuable talk on, “Operating system”, helped the students to get the practical knowledge on the above subject.
NSS Unit, T. John Institute of Technology has organized events related to Swacchatha Pakwada from 1st to 15th September 2017. Swacchatha Pakwada is an initiative form Ministry of Human Resource Development and instructed all the Indian Universities to conduct prescribed events related to Swacch Bharath Abhiyan. As a part of this, NSS Unit of TJIT has organized competition for hostilities to spread awareness regarding cleanliness and hygiene.
