Diwali Celebration By TJIT CSE Department: 26-10-2016

On 26th October, 2016 Department of Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT celebrated Diwali festival. Dr. Mahesh T R, Prof and Head, Dept. Of CSE distributed sweets to all students of the department and also organized lunch to all teaching and non-teaching faculties.


Industrial Visit to ICAT Design and Media College By the TJIT ISE Students: 24-10-2016

Department of Information Science and Engineering organized an Industrial Visit for the students of 3rd, 5th, and 7th semesters to ICAT Design and Media College, Bommanahalli, Bengaluru - 68 on 24 October, 2016. Six faculties – Prof. Chaitra.B, Prof. Pruhvi H.S, Prof. Lakshmi Holla, Prof. Shrusti C.S, Prof. Sindhu A.R and Prof Tanu Kaushik accompanied 75 students who visited the College of animation.


Workshop on “Audrino Microcontroller” For TJIT ECE Students: 23-10-2016

The workshop on “Audrino Microcontroller” was conducted from the TECH CLUB from department of ECE on 23/10/2016. This workshop was a part of the club activity where students from final years conducted the workshop to the pre final years and the second year students. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Amith Kumar, Mr. Manjunath, Mr.Madhan Kumar, students of 7th SEM under the guidance of Mr. Basavanagouda Ganaganagoudar, Asst. Professor, Dept. of ECE.


CSE Students, TJIT won Gold Medal award at the 25thChapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2016): 23-10-2016

The students from the department of Computer Science & Engineering have bagged the gold medal at the 25th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2016) under the category of Kaizen Display. Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bengaluru Chapter organized 25th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2016 ) on 23rd October, 2016 at T John Institute of Technology , Bengaluru. QCFI is recognized as the Institution representing the Quality Circle Movement in India and has represented the country in several International Forums.


Intercollegiate Technical Event “AVISHKAR-2016” Organized By ECE/TCE TJIT: 21-10-2016

The department of ECE/TCE, students’ club ECHELONS organized and conducted an intercollegiate technical event “AVISHKAR-2016” on 21st & 22nd of Oct 2016. The inaugural ceremony was on 21st Oct 2016 at 9:30 am in TJGI Auditorium. Mr. Jai Merson Francis, Alumnus of ECE department (2008-2012 batch) was invited as the Chief Guest. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer in Wolken Software, Bangalore. The program started with the welcome address by our HOD, Dr. Arun Vikas Singh. Mr. Jai shared his experience on how the corporate companies work and stressed about the importance of academic percentage and discipline. His speech motivated and inspired the students. The presidential address was given by Dr. H. N. Thippeswamy, Principal, TJIT. As a token of encouragement to the students, trophy was given to students with FCD. The students showcased the video directed by them “Trans-ition Through Education”. This short-film has been submitted for a national level competition for the cause of education. Mr. Vysak of 5th sem, delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of ECHELONS club.


Industial Visit To CDAC By TJIT CSE Students: 21-10-2016

Students of seventh semester Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT had visited the campus of CDAC-Center for Development of Advanced Computing on 21st October, 2016 along with two faculties Prof. Suma R and Prof. Sowmya V. There was a presentation on supercomputer-“PARAM PADMA”,developed by CDAC. “PARAM PADMA” is a terascale supercomputer and it is 1000 times more powerful than PARAM-8000 that was developed earlier. PARAM PADMA has low latency, high bandwidth, process-to-process protection, deliver of message within 10microseconds and various such new and advanced features.


CSE Students, TJIT won 2nd Prize at KAGADA-2016 13th National Student Conference organized by IEEE UVCE, Bengaluru: 21-10-2016

On 21st October 2016, Kagada -2016, the 13th National Students Conference was organized in Connection with IEEE Bangalore Section by University Visvevaraya College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Thirteen students in four teams namely Ms. Vijayashree M R, Ms. Punita A, Ms. Aishwarya Gowda H B, Ms. Aishwarya A, Ms. Archana M, Ms. Megha M, Ms. Anushree K U, Ms. Anaswara Elizabeth, Ms. Lisna C H, Ms.Lalitha M, Ms. Rakshitha Gowda, Ms. Nandini M, Ms. Monica Sneha from the department of Computer Science and Engineering, TJIT took active participation in the poster presentation under the guidance of Prof. Sejal N and Prof. Ashwini Patil , the faculties of CSE Department.

The Management, Principal, Staff and Students of T.John Institute of Technology congratulate Mr. Arun S, student of VII Semester BE ISE, for winning Bronze Medal in the Visvesvaraya Technological university State level Inter collegiate Judo 81 Kg category. The event was conducted at KLS’s VDRIT, Haliyal, Uttar Kannada, Karnataka, India,from 20th to 22nd October, 2016.


Industrial Visit To ICAT Design And Solutions By TJIT (CSE) Students: 16-10-2016

On 06th October 2016 an Industrial Visit to ICAT Design and Solutions, Bommanahalli was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering for Seventh Semester students. ICAT Design and Solutions is a pioneer in Creative Design and Media. 52 students of Seventh Semester were accompanied by the faculties Ms. Ashwini S Patil and Ms. Gowri Prasad of Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Students actively participated in an interactive session on Game Design and Development for Mobile, Console, PC and Internet Platforms with the Research and Development team of ICAT.
