Students of 5th Pharm.D delivered talk to students of class 7th to10th of Good Earth High school on 10/10/2017. The session was quite interactive and the response obtained from the students was also impressive.
Faculty development programme was conducted at T. John College of Pharmacy on 28/09/2017. The invited speaker, Dr. Gayathri Devi, discussed about the different aspects of teaching.
Guest lecture was organized on 23rd September 2017 for B. Pharm & Pharm D. students. Mr. Shashank Krishna (Government of India Make in India IIT-B Hackathon Most Popular Choice awardee), delivered a lecture on “Make in India and Smart Cities”. He discussed about the working concept of Make in India in pharmaceutical sector, generic medicine and Jan Aushadhi campaign. He also discussed about smart city concept in providing better, accurate and automated services. The talk was interesting to all.
Students of 1st B.Pharm and Pharm.D visited Lalbagh garden as part of their project work activity. Students were involved in the programme and they have planted rose plants worth more than Rs. 60,000/- in the college lawns. Programme was coordinated by Mrs. Khalida Khanum and Mr. Ranajith.
A free eye screening camp was conducted by T John College of Pharmacy in association with Narayana Nethralaya, Bommasandra. The team consisted of Dr. Devaraj, Dr. Akhila and technicians. Dr. Akhila gave an informative speech on eye donation.
Students of 5th Pharm.D delivered talk to the class 8th students of Preethi Dham English medium school. The sessions were interesting and interactive.
Students of 5th Pharm.D had been to Bangalore Public School to deliver talk on the following topics; vaccination, healthy food habits, anti-smoking, self medication and mosquito borne diseases to the students of the grade 8th 9th and 10th standard. There was good response from the children and support from the teachers.
Guest lecture was organized on 25th March 2017 for B. Pharm & Pharm D. students. Mr. Zachariah John, Senior Director, Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS), Bangalore, delivered a lecture on “Innovation Mindset – Key Industrial need to face the next industrial revolution”
TJCP organized a guest lecture on 25thMarch 2017 for B. Pharm II, III and IV year students. Dr. C. L. Gopu, Associate Scientific Manager,Analytical Development R&D, Biocon, Bangalore delivered a lecture on “Departments in Biotech/Pharma Industries and skills required”.
An interactive session was organized by TJCP on 14thMarch 2017 for M.Pharm, B. Pharm & Pharm D. students. Mr. Sekar, HR Manager, Katra Phytochem, Bangalore, had interacted with the students and guided them on how to succeed in interviews.
