TJCP organized World AIDS Day awareness day on the 1st December 2017. It was done for raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.
Industrial Visit to Microlabs Ltd. - TJCP M. Pharm and final year B. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy visited Microlabs Ltd., Bangalore, on 20th November, 2017. The Industrial visit was informative and the students gained practical knowledge in the areas of formulation (Tablets, Capsules and Semisolids), Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Packaging, Layout designing of Pharmaceutical Industry etc.
T John College of Pharmacy organized guest talk on the topic of “Herbal extracts: History, development, application, manufacturing and quality control” on 20th November 2017 by Mr.Vijayaraghavan.
Academic visit was arranged for pharmacy students on 16th November, 2017 to GKVK Hebbal campus –Krishi Mela 2017.
Final year B. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy visited Neurobiology Research Centre, NIMHANS, Bangalore, on 14th November 2017. Students had the opportunity to see the huge collection of different brain exhibits at the Brain Museum. The visit was informative. Dr. K. Krupanidhi organized this programme.
I year B. Pharm & Pharm D students of T. John College of Pharmacy had visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, on 13th November 2017. Students had the opportunity to see various models of Fighter planes from the oldest version to the latest generation.
100 students of T. John College of Pharmacy attended the Asian Pharmacy Conference at J S S College of Pharmacy, Mysuru from October 27th to 29th, 2017. Students also presented their scientific papers during the conference. This programme was indeed a nice opportunity to learn from other Asian countries. Students enjoyed the programme.
Final year B. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy visited Indo-American Hybrid Seeds (India) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, on 16th of October 2017. Detailed explanation was given by Dr.Jayachandran on the production of hybrid seeds of vegetables, flowering plants, field crops, and the production of ornamental plants. The Industrial visit was highly informative and the students gained practical knowledge in the area of hybridization. Students were accompanied by Dr. E.Gopinath.
