Final year B. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy visited Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Bangalore, on the 9th of February 2017.
Workshop was organized on HPLC instrument for M.Pharm and Final year B.Pharm students on 28th January 2017.
Guest lecture was organized by TJCP on 20th January 2017 for M.Pharm, B. Pharm & Pharm D. students. Mr. Durgaprasad, Asst. General Manager, Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Bangalore, had delivered a lecture on 'Manufacturing & Facilities for Small volume and Dry powder Parenterals.
M. Pharm and final year B. Pharm students of T. John College of Pharmacy had visited Microlabs Ltd., Bangalore, on the 19th January 2017. The Industrial visit was highly informative and the students had gained adequate practical knowledge in the areas of formulation of various dosage forms (Tablets, Capsules and Semisolids), Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Packaging, Layout designing of Pharmaceutical Industry etc.
T. John College of Pharmacy, conducted an exhibition on 18.01.2017, based on the theme Pre-clinical Testing of Drugs.
T. John College of Pharmacy had organized industrial visit to Katra Phytochem for II Pharm D students on 30th September 2016. The students visited R & D, QC, QA and Production departments.
T. John College of pharmacy celebrated World Pharmacist Day on 24th September, 2016. The theme for this year is “Pharmacist Caring for you”. The Chief Guest was Mr.Mohammed Mujawar, Ex-Navy Aircraft Engineer of the Indian Navy presently working as GSD Supervisor, Air India SATS.
T. John College of Pharmacy organized a free eye checkup camp on 22nd Sep 2016, in association with Narayana Nethralaya and sponsored by Lions Club of Chandapura Noble. More than 200 staff and students of T John Group of Institutions availed this opportunity to undergo free eye checkup from specialized team of Doctors headed by Dr Devraj. About 50 people also pledged their eyes for the beautiful cause.
T. John College of Pharmacy, visited Central Silk Board unit (National Silkworm Seed Organisation (NSSO), Bangalore (Karnataka) on 11th August 2016. Mrs. Blessy Jacob, accompanied the students of Fourth year Pharm. D. Detailed explanation was given by Dr. Anju Rakesh on various stages of silkworm seed production.
T. John College of Pharmacy had organized a National Conference on “Training Clinical Pharmacist in Pharmacovigilance” on 21st & 22nd March 2016 which was sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research & Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Dr. B. Suresh, President, Pharmacy Council of India was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function. Invited speakers were from both Industry and Academia.
