The Department of Computer Applications, T. John College, organized a one day Faculty Development Program on Cyber Forensics and Network Security on Saturday 17th March, 2018. The program began with welcome address by the Vice Principal Ms. Hemalatha Dodamani. The director of Computer Applications Department, Dr. Felcy Judith briefed the objectives of the program and introduced the session topics.
Activities did on 16th march 2018 during club hour were as follows: Literary Club did discussion on movies, Nature Club did practice of flash mob on nature related issue, Culinary Club students were taught the names of culinary delights that day, Chess Club did different strategies used in chess match, Yoga Club did exercise for quick relaxation, in Photography Club, students were assigned to collect photos of nature, Modeling Club practiced for PORTFOLIO presentation.
Digital Marketing-Shift from man-made to automated mediums owing to greater efficiency is the demand of the time – Guest lecture for 4th semester BBA and 2nd semester B Com students: 15-03-2018
Keeping up with the current trends in marketing, a guest lecture was organized for the 4th semester BBA and 2nd semester B Com students on digital marketing. The two hour session was anchored by Streamlyn Academy, experts in the domain of digital marketing. The team consisting of three resource people, who have vast experience in online advertising and expertise in functioning of different technologies took the students to the world of automation through digital media and the session highlighted the importance of digitalization of different mediums to accommodate everyday needs.

The Management Studies Department of T. John College organised an alumni guest lecture for MBA Ist Year students on Career Guidance on 10th March 2018. Ms. Sowmya Kasargod, alumnus of 2003-2005 batch briefed the students about the career goals and shared her corporate experience. Ms. Kasargod is currently working as Senior Financial data expert in Thomson Reuters corporation which is a leading financial data provider in the global market.
The annual food festival of the department of hotel management was held on the 10th of march 2018 at the campus ground between 12 noon and 3:00pm. The fest drew it’s legacy with a foot fall of 1400 plus invitees to relish the food of various cuisines of the globe. The guests were a mix of in campus students, parents, industry veterans, professionals of various fields of work, students and teachers from more than 18 schools and colleges across Bangalore.
The club activity for 9th March 2018 began with students gearing up for various activities. The Literary Club students made a speech on given topic. The Cultural Club students were preparing for blaze. The NSS Students were discussing and enrolling for the Annual Camp. The Manager's Club and Finance Club were preparing for the Best Manager's Event. The Modeling Club students were practicing for portfolio presentation.
T.John College celebrated International Women’s Day on 7/3/2018. The Chief Guest to this event was Padmashree Dr.Malathi Holla. In the world of Poliomitics, Arjuna award and Padmashree award winner and 5 times Para Olympian , she is truly remarkable, a role model and an icon.
On 7th March 2018, the students of MBA II semester and IV semester, T. John College, had been to the Bangalore Central University Inauguration function at the Central College Cricket ground.
The students of VI Semester BHM visited the Dairy Day Ice cream factory on 7th March 2018.The staff explained the various processing sections of factory starting from the Quality testing labs, the raw material storage area to the final packaging and storage area.
