A guest lecture was organized for the MBA Students on investment banking on 07th May 2016. It was delivered by Mr. Abhinit Kumar, currently engaged as the Assistant Vice President at Imarticus Learning. The third semester students of MBA attended this lecture and gained a meaningful insight on Investment Banking concepts, scope and required competency. Such value added program benefiting the students has been possible due the support extended by the Principal Dr.Shikha Tiwari.

Dept of Mgmt Studies, TJC organized AMCAT on 28th April,2016 in association with Aspiring Minds. It is a computer adaptive multi-dimensional assessment and feedback technique that provides accurate assessment for employability in various industry sectors & job profiles. It was a 3.5 hrs exhaustive online assessment which covered Aptitude – Logical & quantitative ability,Skill- Specialization specific & Managerial judgement, and Personality modules.It also included Speech Voice adaptive test that assessed students on correctness and accuracy of the student’s spoken English.
T John College celebrated its annual Graduation Day on 16th April, 2016, with a convocation ceremony organized at the main auditorium. Nearly 380 students were part of the Graduation Ceremony along with their parents and various invitees.
Centre for Teaching & Learning organized a certificate based 31hrs exhaustive Professional Development training program for MBA II Sem studentsof T John College from 11th April,2016 onwards. It was a 24hrs intensive skill development program with 7 hrs of assessment spread over six days.
On the 2nd April 2016, the Management Studies department conducted a guest lecture for 2nd semester MBA students on the need and importance of the Shipping Industry by Mr. V Krishnan.
The department of hotel Management –T.John College conducted a guest lecture on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) on 1st April 2016 by Mr.Vasadevan, CEO of Yushmakam. It was very informative to the students. That helped to understand the importance and of global certification towards food safety programme and how it assists them to get a good job in the international food market.
The hotel management department of T.John College conducted its annual food fest LAZEEZ 2016 on 22nd march 2016.The college lawns was totally transformed to have a festive look. It had 12 food pavilion organized by the students of BHM with wonderful ambience. The food pavilion had a wide array of delectable dishes to suit every palate which included Chinese, Italian, Nepalese and various regions of India. A wonderful 26 varieties of international breads were on display.
As part of NSS Club activity and as per the calendar of events planned, a special lecture was arranged on 18th March 2016 to NSS Volunteers of T John College on the theme “Undertaking social projects and contributing for the well development of the society”. The Session was taken by Mr. Zahran Khan, Coordinator from an NGO called ‘BHUMI’. Bhumi is basically aiming to provide a better education for the underprivileged students from various part of the country. The coordinator started by an introduction session about the NGO ‘Bhumi’ which is headquartered at Chennai, TamilNadu and branches at various cities as well.
The ISO 9001:2008 annual Surveillance Audit by BSI group was conducted for T. John Group of Institutions on 16th and 17th March 2016. Assessment was headed by lead auditor of the BSI team Mr. Harish Shastry in accompaniment with the team member Mr. Sarvanan. The audit began with the opening session on 16th March, wherein BSI Auditors, Heads of Institutions, Management representative, Group ISO co-ordinator and all College ISO coordinators wee present. The focus of Surveillance Audits is to ensure continued compliance with the ISO standard and the policies and processes of TJGI. Auditors Inspected for evidence that the quality system is being maintained in its entirety and improved & corrected as requirement.
