T. John Group of Institutions conducted Annual Christmas celebrations on 23/12/09 on the premises of T. John College of Pharmacy. The Programme began with a prayer song, followed by the welcome address and Bible reading by the students. The Chief Guest Fr. Louis Veda Kumar, Parish Priest, St. Antony’s Church, Basavanapura, gave an inspiring Christmas message which reminded us of the love and peace brought to earth by Jesus Christ. This was followed by a rather entertaining mime put up by the students of T. John College of Pharmacy. Next the Chairman, Dr. Thomas P. John addressed the crowd. He spoke of the problems faced by man in this competitive world. The message by Jesus Christ ‘The King of Peace’ is very relevant in today’s world. He wished the staff and students a Merry X’mas and Happy New Year. Ms. Monica of T. John College sang a melodious Tamil song, which was followed by a medley of carol songs sung by T. John Nursing faculty. The students of T. John College of Pharmacy sang traditional and modern carols. Santa Claus was given a rousing welcome by the audience. The Chief guest Fr. Louis, Chairman, Dr. Thomas P. John, his wife Dr. Bobby Thomas, the Principals of the various institutes were present at the cake cutting ceremony. After the vote of thanks by Sheba, a student of Pharmacy College, there was cake distribution. The X’ mas celebrations organized by Dr. Vineet Chandy, College of Pharmacy at the college premises was a warm and festive event.
