World Mental Health Day
The Department of Psychiatric Nursing of T. John college of Nursing organised a psychiatric exhibition "GroBer StoB" on October 10, 2011, as part of the World Mental Health Day. The day was brightened up with an inauguration session, in which the chief guests Dr. Radha S. Murthy, Founder and Managing trustee of Nightingales Medical Trust, Bangalore, Dr. George Esaw, Principal, T. John College and Dr. Neelanjana Bhasu, Vice Principal, T. John College gave talks on various aspects of the mental health. Also the unfolding of the year’s theme was done (The great push: investing in mental health). The inaugural session was preceded by the exhibition. Various psychiatric exhibition halls were arranged which had chart displays, mime, skits, mock therapy rooms, documentary sessions. Many aspects and concepts of mental health and mental illnesses were being illustrated here.
The faculty and students from all streams within the campus and even from outside campus had gathered in. The faculty and students of the Department of Psychiatric Nursing of T. John College of nursing helped in turning out the programme to the path of great success.
