The induction programme for the I SEM, B.E students was held on 6th September 2010, in the seminar hall of T. John Institute of Technology. The programme started at 11.00 A.M. which was graced by the presence of Dr. Thomas P, Chairman, T. John Group of Institutions. The other dignitaries included Wing. Cdr. (Ret’d.) David Yohan, Advisor to Chairman. Campus Director, P. Sambashivan, Dr. A.N.N.Murthy, Principal TJIT, Mr. Vaseegaran, Administrator, T. John Group of Insitutions, Mr. Sukumar Nayak, Director, T. John Business School, Prof. George Easaw, Principal T. John College.

The programme witnessed a gathering of around 450, which included first semester students, parents, teaching and non teaching faculty of TJIT. The programme started with invocation by senior students followed by welcome speech by Dr. G. Nagarajan, Dept. of MBA, HOD. Introductory speech about the college and VTU was given by Dr.A. N.N. Murthy, Principal. Students were advised to strictly adhere to rules of institute and were also informed of University’s requirements regarding attendance, internal assessment etc.

Inspiring speeches were delivered by Chairman, Campus Director and Advisor to Chairman. Finally the programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Dakshayini, HOD Dept. of EC. The programme was compered by senior B.E. students. Lunch was served for the gathering at 1.00 P.M.
