State Level Seminar - TJohn College of Pharmacy
A State Level Seminar Cum Workshop sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka on the topic ‘Modern Trends in Pharmacy’ was held at T. John College of Pharmacy on 29th and 30th November 2010. Dr. S. Ramananda Shetty, Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, inaugurated the event by lamp lighting. Dr. Thomas P John, Chairman, T. John Group of Institutions congratulated the faculty and students of T. John College of Pharmacy for organizing the event in a grand scale. Students & Faculty from various colleges all over Karnataka participated in the seminar. Also delegates from many pharma industries participated.
The objective of this state level seminar cum workshop was to enlighten and provide exposure to the Modern Trends in Pharmacy. The seminar covered a wide variety of topics such as, Drug Discovery, Clinical trials, Pharmacovigilance, Entrepreneurship, Spectral Data Interpretations & Patenting of Biotechnological products. This workshop also prepared the students to attend interviews successfully and provided information about various fields & opportunities available in the Pharmaceutical industry. Information on how to obtain research grants was provided in the seminar.
