Nele Visit

Nele − home for street children "Nele" − literally meaning the shelter is a home for destitute children. It transforms the lives of the failed street children and orphan kids to become cultured citizens of the city.

The students of T John College visited Nele located at Jigini on Saturday 11th December 2010, students taught them to make various kinds of bags using old newspaper. The idea of teaching them to make a bag with old newspaper was to firstly create awareness about the environmental benefits of using newspaper; secondly by mastering this simple process of bag making the kids can be come self sustaining.

The students at the end of the project disturbed foods packets to the kids at the orphanage, they were accompanied by faculty members Ms. Jyohti Saundatti, Ms. Lailtha Satish, Ms. Divya, Mr. Muralidar reddy & Mr. Vinod of Management Department and Ms. Devi of Bio-tech Department.
