E.T.I Training for NSS Programme Officers at Dharwad

E.T.I Training for NSS Programme Officers was held at Dharwad from December 12, 2011 to December 17, 2011. Twenty six programme officers from different colleges of Bangalore University attended the training at the UAS campus, Dharwad. BU- NSS co-ordinator Dr.Sundar raj Urs and Dr.Somappa Megeri, Director UAS Dharwad, also NSS co-ordinator Dharwad were the main conveners of the camp.
The Training was about the execution of NSS activities, conducting NSS camps, Special camps and Personality Development. The key role of a programme officer in training NSS student volunteers to be emerging leaders was highlighted in the sessions. The programme officer’s role of a good mentor and guide was redefined.
The benefits of becoming a NSS team volunteers was outlined in the meeting. Overall it helped to understand the activities and expectations of the National Service Scheme.
