TIMS accredited as International Trainer for Corporate Governance
The Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF), a multi donor trust fund facility located in the International Finance Corporation (IFC – World Bank Group) Business Advisory Services and supported by the governments of Austria, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland , is working closely with its India partners - the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) - for a capacity building programme in India in the area of corporate governance, through training and research. An important part of this initiative is a regional Training of Trainers (TOT) Programme in Corporate Governance. The Forum and its India partners have joined hands with the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, IIMC, to deliver the TOT (Training of Trainers) programme in Mumbai.
The Training was based on Corporate Governance Board Leadership Training Resources Kit developed by the GCGF to serve the growing need for curriculum and teaching methodologies relevant to corporate governance training. Participants included Director Board Members of various prestigious organizations from India, Mauritius, Newzealand etc. Trainers from GCGF took the session and evaluation of trainers. Prof. Sreekiran, HOD, TIMS was selected for the programme and on successful completion he is accredited as the International Trainer for Corporate Governance Board Leadership Training Programme.
