Industrial Visit of TVS on April 23, 2011 by TJC MBA Students.
TVS company Bangalore, mainly manufactures and assembles Engine and Chassis, company also has sub-units in Mysore and Himachal Pradesh. They manufacture two wheeler engines and assemblies.
They procure the raw materials from external source .The material they use is classified in different grades:
- ◊ Grade1
- ◊ Grade2(Carbon)
- ◊ Grade3(2 Bin)
They also test the product at every stage like:
- ◊ For paint they use Scratch test
- ◊ Sample test for each points of bike
- ◊ Ride test, etc.
Main motto of this organization is TQM and SCM
Sixty two students of MBA II sem, along with two faculties Mr. Mithileshwar Prasad, and Ms. Deepa visited this Manufacturing unit on April 23, 2011 and observed various process and observed various process in production viz job, production, mass production.
