T. John College inaugurated their I Semester UG course on July 11 2011. The programme was preceded by a prayer meeting attended by all 1st. Semester students and their Parents.

At the inaugural programme Principal Dr. George Easaw introduced the new students to T. John Group of Institutions and T. John College. He talked about the rules and regulations of the college and its academic schedule. Campus Director (Retd.) Wg. Cdr. P. Sambasivam, in his lecture emphasized on ‘Self Discipline – the key to Success’. Chief Guest of the day Mr. Gopal Shenoy Senior Director of Oracle talked about what it takes to transit from campus to corporate. He cited examples to students on discipline motivation etc. The college had organized a bridge course by VETA which was appreciated by the participants. Parents, Alumni and Bridge Course representatives had a fruitful interaction with the I Semester students. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Dr. Nilanjana Basu, Vice Principal of TJC. The I semester students had departmental orientation in the afternoon, during which parents interacted with teachers at the Parent Teachers meeting organized by the PT Committee of TJC. All doubts and queries of parents were answered in the PT meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Principal of T. John College. The students shall resume their classes form July 12, 2011 Tuesday.
