Heritage Visit
On December 22, 2011, Department of Bioscience UG students along with 5 faculty members had visited ‘Heritage vineyards’ on Bangalore- Mysore Highway. The industrial visit was very informative for students as wine making is a part of their practical syllabus. The industry demonstrated the production of red fortified sweet desert wine from the locally available grapes variety- Bangalore Blue[Vites Labrusa]. It was very knowledgeable for students to experience wine making starting from processing to tasting of it. The group also promotes Wine tourism which includes tour of vineyards and tasting of wine.
