On September 20, 2011 BHM department organized for a guest lecture on "Food Safety Management System" by MR. Sarath Kumar H. S, Who is an auditor with "Intertek", Bangalore. Its presence is prevalent in 150 countries across the globe and mainly deal with Hotels, Catering companies and huge industries where food safety plays a major role in maintaining Hygiene standards. It was a quiet and informative session for the Final year students who also have shown interest in attending a course which certifies them to be auditors. The knowledge enhancement about Food Safety Management Systems highlights and tells the importance of hygiene which is very important in the Hospitality industry.
