On September 14, 2010, Ms. Shikha Tiwari from the Dept. of Languages, TJC organized a blood donation camp in association with Lions Club of Bangalore and Victoria Hospital. Mr. Chinni Sreedhara from the Dept. of Physical Education also played a very important role by organizing all the logistics needed for the camp to be held.

As Herman Melville once said, "We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men", the camp reflected the same idea. Staff and students willfully flocked to the venue to donate the most precious lifeline − BLOOD.  Everyone had only one agenda in their mind and that is a drop of blood can save someone’s life somewhere.

In all 225 units of blood were collected in the day, breaking all previous records of blood donation camps conducted in TJC. A special award was given to the Dept. of Hotel Management for they were the highest donors when calculated in percentage. A special thanks to all the staff and students for making this event a grand success.
