Higher Education Opportunities in Biological Sciences
Talk on “Higher Education Opportunities in Biological Sciences” : was delivered by Dr Anuradha D.Arya, Department of Biosciences on 17th August 2010, at 10.00 a.m. P.U.C. students of various colleges were invited to attend the talk, along with students of B.Sc. BT and M.Sc.BT. The presentation included the various options available for biology students after their pre-university course, from the degree level upto the Ph.D. level. The talk introduced various courses like B.Sc.Horticulture, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, M.Sc.Wildlife sciences, Biotechnology, Forensic sciences, Biomedical engineering. Options available for summer training and internship were also discussed. Information on Ph.D. fellowships available from government agencies was also provided to the audience.
