BA Student’s Day Out With Books

B.A students of TJC attended the International Book Festival on September 10, 2011 along with Ms. Nagarathna and Ms. Pooja Basnett from the Dept. of Languages at Palace Grounds. The fair was organized by Bangalore University, therefore the books displayed were of great importance to the students.

It was a new experience for the students for it was an exhaustive display of books in various languages encompassing many subjects and across genres. Other than subject related books, various novels were also for sale. The stalls that attracted the students most was the Outlook Publishers book stall which had a host of books and magazines published under their brand name such as Outlook Money, Outlook Traveller, Outlook Business, Outlook Guides etc.

Other prominent book stalls were ‘Jyothy Book’ (only in Malayalam), Apoorva books stall, Oxford Book etc. It was a day where students learned, shared and gained knowledge.
