The Independence Day Programme of the T John Group of Institutions was held in the lawns of the new TJIT buildings on Sunday, 15 August, 2010 from 9 am to 11 am.

The Chief Guest Millo Tago, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Bannerghatta Forests, hoisted the flag which was attended by the earlier Campus Director , present CD and the principals, faculty and students from the colleges.

The Group anthem was unveiled by earlier CD David Yohan. About 20 sewing machines as activity of NSS, was distributed to locals from beyond Jigani who were taught sewing by St Pauls Missions of India. Senior employees who had completed 10 years of unbroken meritorious service to the Group were facilitated on the occasion. They are P M Anand, Mary Monica, Jayendra Patro, Veeraswamy, Keshava Murthy, Kumara and Arogya Das.

The students gave a very good cultural programme by singing patriotic songs. Vande Mataram by Ebenezer Bremen and team was soul stirring. The programme was co-ordinated by Chinni Sridhara, PED and the cultural programme by Ms Vineeta from FAD.
