The year was 1993 when T. John College with its premises in Campbell Road, Austin Town, Bangalore began functioning. The college started by Dr. Thomas P. John offered a 3 year BHM Degree course to 24 students. Since a humble beginning in 1993, there has been no looking back. And every year the college crosses new milestones. The college premises have expanded to include new departments and blocks.
Rosie Chettri is a 3rd semester student of BHM who represented the country’s youth as a budding chef in the Sony TV production “Kitchen Khiladi” – Youngistan Special. She competed against Chef Vikas, Corporate Executive Chef of Deesh Hospitality. The initial round of the competition was held in Bangalore and after qualifying, she went across to Mumbai for the final round. She challenged Chef Vikas with her innovation - “Fusion Momo”.
The ‘Centre for Teaching & Learning’ organized a session on ‘Consulting & Extension Activities’ on 03.12.2013 at 11:30 AM at TJC ‘A’ Block, Room No: 011.
Prof. Mahadevan Durai Rajan (Dept of Management Studies) gave inputs on World Class Consultancy Practice. He cited the richness and the variety in T. John College’s intellectual capital which may be harnessed effectively. He shared ideas on Business plan preparation, Market research study, World Bank sponsored projects etc with the team. A few suggestions come up in the course of the meeting on a few In-house consulting projects which the team may consider to take up.
T. John College of Pharmacy conducted International Food Fest on 27/11/2013. Mr. Naushad, The Big Chef was the special guest on this grand occasion. Mr. Anil Shivadas, Chairman, Keystone, was the guest of honour. Dr. Thomas P John, Chairman, TJGI, along with Dr. Bobby Thomas were present on this occasion.
